Boppard is a nice place to visit a good little shopping.Has a Christmas shop all year round. It has a plenty of boats to take you on different trips on the Rhine

We caught this boat at 10 AM right in front of our hotel in Sankt Goar. It was a sunny day and we saw at least 10 castles as we went down the Rhine...many villages looked just like in a fairy tale! docked at Rudesheim for 3 hours (too touristy, too expensive for my tastes) and then took the boat back. Except for too many tourists, it was all great

Susan's tour notes and scheduling made our visit to the Middle Rhein not only possible, but a pure joy. The sights are wonderful and she arranged our itinerary perfectly to fit our unique priorities. with Susan's guidance, we saw and understood many sights we would have missed otherwise. As we don't speak German, she not only kept the cost way down, but also made it possible for us to be part of the population. We spent a glorious 4 days fulfilling a lifetime dream.

We did two self-guided tours this trip: The Marksburg castle and the hike from Oberwesel to Bacharach. What really impressed us is that Susan makes it all so easy. She met us at the train station in Mainz and provided us with the information packages and train tickets for the two tours (that we did on consecutive days). The packages included easy to follow instructions and also interesting historical background on the sights. The latter was great for reading on the train trip down the Rhine to get to the start of the walk. The directions in the package were easy to follow, especially the photos taken on the track helped to keep us on the right path. We also followed the sign posts but there were places where the path was not obvious and where the hike notes kept us from going wrong. The Rhine landscape is breathtaking and the hike has great views. When we arrived in Bacharach, we really felt like we did a substantial walk, but that may just be because we are not super fit. In any case, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Susan arranged a self-guided train trip up and down the Rhine between Mainz and Koblenz. It was wonderful that she recommended and organized the trip up one side and down the other side of the Rhine--all to fit in with time after a walking tour of Mainz and with enough time to catch my flight after a 15-hour stop-over at Frankfurt Airport. Susan provided a map showing attractions, including castles, along the Rhine and she had pre-purchased a train ticket for me to save time and money (I travel solo and don't speak German). She showed me where to catch and exit the train, and what to look out for. She provided various options of things to do along the way, i.e., to hop on and off the train to see historical treasures. The scenic memories of the World Heritage Site portion of the Rhine Valley will stay with me forever. All thanks to Susan!

My three colleagues and I booked this Rhine Castle day trip when we were in Frankfurt for work. We were at first unsure if we should do a Rhine trip on our own or if we should book a tour. It turned out that going for the tour was an excellent decision. Susan organized everything so we didn't waste any time and were able to fit loads more into the day without feeling rushed. My favorite castle was the Marksburg because it is still an original medieval fortress and you feel like taking a time machine back to the time of the knights. We also visited the ruins of Rheinfels castle, where we had fun exploring the pitch black tunnels. We had a fantastic day and great German spring weather. The walking through woodlands and small Rhine towns with great views was very enjoyable. So nice to get out of Frankfurt city for a change.
