Nice museum to visit, interesting to learn about the history of Pforzheim's industry. Right in the city centre, this small museum won't take up too much of your day and you can continue on with a meal or shopping afterwards.

If you are in Pforzheim this is the number one attraction and should not be missed (closed on Mondays though). There are several galleries, including a historical one showing gold jewellery right back to 1600BC. There is also a splendid collection of pocket watches. Another gallery details the history of Pforzheim's history in the jewellery business - this was a little less comprehensive than expected however. At the time of our visit an anniversary exhibition had just opened showing the creative designs of many local jewellers over the past century - beautiful and fascinating!

The artifacts on display really showed the history of jewelry and watchmaking in the Pforzheim area. The pieces displayed were quite impressive!

The Schmuckmuseum is always interesting. They have small changing exhibitions that are always well and informatively organized. The permanent collection is fascinating and covers all periods. For anyone who appreciates jewelry and the artistry behind the creations this should be a must see museum.

nestling within a beautiful park in suburban Pforzheim,this was a pleasant surprise.well displayed jewellery covering all ages.I found Helenic and Etruscan jewellery especially beautiful.small downside: no book dealing specially with the 60s and 70s jewellery which was abundant in the museum.well worth a visit.

beautiful setting for the museum which is surrounded by well kept gardens.The museum itself- simply superb with a varied exibition of jewellery.I personaly enjoyed the Ethruscan and Greek jewellery as well as 1930s and 1970s pieces.Well stocked,well displayed. The children enjoyed it too.

Für einen vollständigen Rundgang hat die Zeit leider nicht gereicht, aber der Rest wird mit Sicherheit noch nachgeholt. In der historischen Abteilung lässt sich einerseits wunderbar verfolgen, wie sich Moden zeitlich und regional verändert haben. Andererseits kann man eigentlich nur völlig fasziniert sein, welch ungeheures handwerkliches Können Goldschmiede und Juweliere bereits vor vielen Jahrhunderten bewiesen haben.

Das Schmuckmuseum zeigt Schmuck aus 5000 Jahren aus verschiedenen Ländern und Kulturenvon verschiedenen Erdteilen. Öffnungszeiten: dienstags bis sonntags 10 bis 17 Uhr. Der Tageskarte kostet für Erwachsene nur 3,00 Euro. Nach dem Museumsbesuch kann man sich im Museumscafe stärken.

Zentral im Stadtpark gelegen. Jeden ersten Sonntag im Monat offeriert die dortige Gastronomie einen sehr zu empfehlenden Brunch.

Einmalige Schätze. Viel Schmuck und Kunsthandwerk aus allen Epochen.Wer sich nur im geringsten für Schmuck interessiert, wird begeistert sein. Immer wieder auch wechselnde Aussstellungen.Das eigentliche Museum ist kostenfrei. Parkplätze in näherer Umgebung.Tipp: Führungen buchen / nutzen. Es wird einem viel Wissen begeistert rübergebracht, das man so alleine durchs Ansehen nicht erhalten würde.
