Fantastic little beach cove; popular with thelocals for good reason.Walked there over the hill from Sami; a great experience.Pebble beach but great for dipping in with stunning views.

This place is like a little heaven on earth. The water is always quite calm as the bay is between hills and sheltered by the island of Ithaca. I always enjoy snorkelling here. Both bars have high quality coffee and the club sandwich is my favourite. Both bars have free parking and you don't have to buy something. Well worth a few hours, but when you relax you won't want to leave!

The beach is lovely. You only 2 a couple of steps into the water and you are already up to your tip toes so be careful. Once you are in look down in the water and you will see fish swimming around you. They do not bite they are just inquisitive as to who you are. Once been you know that you will have to return

A stony beach but very nice. Much of the Captain Corelli film was done here and in Sami the nearest town. A sun trap.

I thought that this beach was a lovely sandy beach, which is what it looked like from the road down to it. It is a large pebble beach, with pure white pebbles, the beach slopes steeply into the sea, so beware, out of your depth quickly, but s

Probably the most beautiful beach on the island..even surpasses Myrtos beach. Crystal clear warm waters and fantastic scenery. Local bar / taverna to quench your thirst and escape from the sun when you're all sunned up. Water sports available but well marshalled and not in the least intrusive. On the day we visited a young couple were getting married right on the beach....idyllic .We arrived at about 11 am and stayed until sunset. Awesome.

Forget Myrtos beach we much preferred it here! The water is so clear and warm, I didn't want to get out! We visited at the end of September so the beach wasn't overly busy which was great, I can imagine in August you'd be fighting for sunbeds as it's not a huge beach. The beach is very clean and had a stunning backdrop from all of the trees, a truly forget about everything and relaxing place. Free sunbeds when you buy food and drink at one of the 2 tavernas, perfect for us as had planned to eat down there anyway. Great views on the way down, worth a photo stop.

A very nice place. First take some shots from the above of the sparkling water and then roll down to the cafe, have a breakfast or tea (tsai) and stay for the day. One of the most beautiful beaches on Earth, no doubt. And family friendly, too. Prepare yourself for a breathtaking nature beauty.

Beautiful turquoise waters tucked into mountain cliffs. We had a great time relaxing here. As with most places on Kefallonia, there are animals in the background, although here they are fenced in- goats, cows, sheep- adding to the ambience.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Kefalonia, for sure. We went there mid October and were lucky it was warm (26 degrees). The beach was very quiet, just my husband and I, pebbles and very blue and clear sea. Very very calm water and no service on that day (Saturday) Downside: way too many spiders. They fly with their webs all over the place even above the water. As I suffer from arachnophobia :( we didn't stay there longer than 10 minutes..

I can honestly say this was my favourite beach ever! It's perfect for all ages and there are two fabulous restaurants on the beach which both do an amazing chicken souvlaki! The sea is beautifully clear and we thoroughly enjoyed kefalonia!

Free sunbeds and lovely tavernas on hand. This is a spectacular cove to visit and a hidden gem. Fascinating to see all the super yachts that come here to anchor up for the day.

If you're after a picturesque scene, to lie next to the sea on a pebbly beach, with hardly any stretching space between you and the sunbed next to you, then Antisamos is for you. It attracts visitors because a scene from Capt Correlli's Mandolin was filmed there. Didn't impress me.

The water was warm and clear, and being late in the season was not at all crowded. The sun beds were free and plenty of parking space behind the two bars, who did beach service.Ok, the beach is stones and not sand and you need a car to get to it but a relly nice location. We would have probably returned here later in the holiday but ran out of days.

We hadn't been to Kefalonia for 11 years, and we loved this beach for it's peace and quiet, However now there are two bars with music (no loud but a little intrusive) and sunbeds crammed together in two small areas - yes there is still plenty of (stony) beach for you to sunbathe on, but should we return to Kefalonia again we shan't be coming back here.
