I love this place. Been there several times. If you're used to museums with few, perfectly aligned objects, this is not for you. Actually this is much more than a museum: this is a geek paradise. Tons (literally) of old computers and electronic stuff, many of them in working order. Don't miss the guided tour by the passionate king of this very special world. Not so geek? Go next door. Same kind of paradise, but this time it's all about childhood. For small and big children. Definitely the best place(s) in town.

Although the museum is small and there isn't enough room for the exhibits, it's interesting to see all of the gadgets on display -- old computers, calculators, video gaming consoles, and more. When the video gaming consoles are turned on, it is especially fun, since you're allowed to play! The only thing the museum lacks are more detailed descriptions, timelines would be great.

It's really neat to see the history of computing, considering how near-time history it all is. Great displays and information. Almost too much to take in. Take a tour to get the highlights then wander back for the details.

So, if you buy the ticket (20 kn or roughly 2.90 euros) you get the entrance to the next door's childhood museum too. Absolutely great value! In peek&poke you can see all sorts of old, outdated computers, but even new iPhone and iPad. It's a bit crammed, but the whole museum is actually quite fun to explore. Next door is the childhood museum with the big scaled model of the National theater in Zagreb made of lego bricks at the very entrance. Then you have all sorts of toys and memorabilia from childhood which different people donated to the museum. The both museums are a work of an enthusiast and sadly aren't publicly funded.

If you visit Rijeka don't miss Peek&Poke computer museum, the best spot in town! Great exposition of vintage computers and much more. In a fact there are two museums; one with computers and one with toys that will rimind you of your childhood. For all information you can also check their web pages. Museums are in the center of the town, 5 minutes walk from Korzo, the main pedestrian zone.

I wish it had some public funding as it is the only museum in Rijeka worth a visit on a monthly basis.

Been myself avid old computer and arcade games fan, I might not be the most objective person to rate this fabulous establishment... Still... I don't think there will be a single person which wouldn't be delighted after visiting Peek & Poke - museum of childhood... Most enthusiastic owner will personally guide you through all the rooms and artefacts and will also share the whole story behind it with whoever is willing to listen. Great place, one of the best places you can visit in Rijeka if not The best. Highly recommended for anybody. Nostalgic or not, you will love it.

This is one of the best museums where I have ever been! I heard so many interesting stories and historical facts about development of computers (and also about calculators). You will see also the first Macintosh (1984) there and a lot of other amazing computer brands. Their collection is really impressive! Definitely worth to visit both Peek&Poke museums - computer and childhood that are next to each other :)

Fantastic if you like old computers and games. Quite a small museum but you get to walk through the ages of old computer and end up in a section where you can play all the old computer consuls such as Nintendo n64 and older plus nintari. Well worth a visit.

This museum is awesome. It's a history, a memory from childhod. There are old computers and other old equipment and machines. And also a very very big collection of all kind of toys, which where also interesting to see.Note that they have two doors in museum one with computers and other with toys. Don't go away if one door is closed, check the other, or it's better to call, the number is on the museum web page and at the door.

Well, just get around and your face will be iluminated by a nice felling ... also there is a toy museum. It takes a while to see completly ... lots of old units from anytime ... I found the sinclair zx81 that i bought in 1983 (more or less ... i was around 11 or 12). Great!

First: it's two museums for the same price: toys museum and computers one.Both are simply awesome. You'll see lots of toys donated by owners from all around the world, some of them are more than 100 years old!Computer museum has a lot of old-school pieces like Minivac 601. Apple fans will be glad to see lot's of old Macs. You'll see the first wireless infrared keyboard, play the piano using first MIDI controller and much more. Some of the showpieces are fully functional so you can play Pacman or DonkeyKong. The guy who's running both museums is a nice person and answers all your questions. Definitely a must to see in Rijeka
