I visited Abritus while working in Razgrad for an extended period of time, and very much enjoyed my visit. It is a little bit of a walk from town (about 2Km depending upon your starting point), but a relatively easy journey. The museum inside is very nice, and the curator spoke some English, and all the signs are in English and Bulgarian. Outside are numerous headstones as well as the ruins from the Roman fortress built in the 1st Century. You can view all of the aritifacts and ruins up close with no barriers between you and the outside artifacts (remnants of the Roman walls, tombstones, etc.). They also have a small gift shop. I highly recommend spending a couple hours at Abritus if your travels take you to Razgrad!
