Very beautifull cathedral. i am religious person, so for me was interesting to visit and see beautifull icons and enjoy the architecture. Can't tell the travellers a lot about the history of the cathedral, but it is worth seeing.

I visited this Cathedral the first time in 2007 and have been back a few times. Nice on the outside and impressive on the inside. It is smaller than some of the other churches and cathedrals in Kiev, but still impressive and worth the visit. A charge when pictures allowed inside. Only Russian and Ukrainian spoken here as well.

If you like Old school Russian orthodox churches you won't be disappointed. Nice and well maintained. No English spoken hete, but well worth the visit.

The Golden Roofs of the Orthodox Cathedrals and Monastries of Kiev, a city founded a.o. by the Swedish Vikings, who came all the way rowing from the Baltic on their way to the Black Sea. Also the origin of the Russian Orthodox Church and culture finds it's origins in Kiev. Really a sight never to forget.

I found this place after walking in the wrong direction looking for the Sofia Cathedral.The artwork inside is just incredible! I was lucky enough to go during a service and the singing of the monks was again, incredible! I'm not that way leaning religiously, but I got goosebumps. Go!

From the outside, the building is absolutely beautiful, like so many in Kiev.It's free to go inside, though it costs UAH25 to photograph and UAH50 to video (GBP 1 and GBP 2).When I was there on a Sunday, it was absolutely packed with worshippers, so I'd have felt awkward snapping away. I wish I'd paid the money and overcome my awkwardness, and it is truly magnificent inside.

I was quite taken with the paintings and icons throughout the church. My guide pointed out many things to observe including people praying and kissing the casket of Santa Barbara for good health. She was correct in assuming coming from California I would find it interesting. While we were there a baptism was starting and it was lovely to see all the family members congregating for photos.

Bright yellow orthodox church in the heart of Kiev. Beautiful from the outside and even more so from the inside. Take half an hour to look around. You will not be disappointed.

This is a beautiful church both inside and out. If you are lucky you will be around when the bells start, as they play amazing songs that are special to experience. Happy to give it a thumbs up review!

This is an amazing place! Don't miss the opportunity to attend an orthodox mass here. It doesn't matter at all if you don't understand a word, The liturgy is wonderful and deeply moving!

This cathedral and surrounding grounds are spectacular. The catacombs were closed on the rainy day I went to the Cathedral but it was still a great visit.

St Volodymyr's is yet another stunning basilica - bright yellow with blue cupolas with white stars. Inside it is gorgeous.
