Had some free time on my hands while in Kirovorad this summer and decided to see few museums... to largely fail! Jewish History Museum was under reconstruction, Art Museum hosted a wedding, Karol Shymanovsky Museum was closed. So, having enjoyed Lore Museum and visited a somewhat disappointing small Osmyorkin Art Museum, I eventually decided to find Karpenko-Kary's. It is located in a narrow quiet street fairly off the city centre. And is probably to be visited only if you have already seen everything in Kirovograd or are very keen on theatre and/or Ukrainian drama. Unfortunately, when I came it was under re-arrangement for the autumn "new season". So the only exhibition left was of unknown local writers. Nothing about Karpenko-Kary except the improvised theatre bill pillar in the lobby.
