Nice to climb if you have a couple of hours to spare. Women selling candles on the top makes the "hike" even better. Great view of the lake and not too long or difficult. Bring water and try going to the toilet before you start.

The climb to the top is difficult due to the altitude, uneven terrain and the number of people climbing....it was a very busy afternoon when we went up and bottlenecks were experienced. There are stone steps and path laid down but it is steep in places. Nevertheless if you are not in a rush, taking several short stops makes this climb doable for most people. It is a shame that graffiti marks the crosses along the way, but look past this as the ritual of leaving a stone at the base of the cross makes it more spiritual. The views at the top are lovely.

This is a very steep ascent for people who have an interest in religious stuff. Not very spiritual with traders hassling you on reaching the top! The physically fit will have no problems and will enjoy the virtiginous and spectacular views!

Yeah fair enough you get a nice view of the lake, but climbing up a dirty track that is covered in broken glass, dirty nappys and graffiti isn't exactly how I wanted to spend my morning.Good view at the top if you can ignore the fact you're surrounded by rubbish.

From the begining to the end you can see that is a bit challenging climb, that is why is called the Calvary built by the franciscans. The reward at the top is the dazzling view

The views from on top of the hill over Copacabana and Lago Titicaca are spectacular to say the least. Bit of a stiff climb for us older folk but worth it in the end. Disliked the other spectacular views of dumped bottles all over the hill. Real shame.

Very pleasant climb to the top of this hill overlooking the town and Lake Titicaca. No problem if you do it in daytime. There might be some security issues at nightfall.

So worthwhile, only about 45 minutes max one way and such great views. Lovely in the early morning as we did and I suspect that sunset would be great too. Highlight of our visit to Copa.

It's a short but steep walk on a stony trail, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. About half-way between the twin hill you have a beautiful view of the coastline, and from the top you'll have a bird's eye view over the town with its vast cathedral and the busy beach

It is a must. I recommend to do it as one of the first things to give you a good perspective of Copacabana. Very disappointing to see so much litter around.

The view of the sunset and Lake Titicaca was indeed beautiful, but there was a lot of trash on the path to the top. It stank, literally!

A steep yet short hike from the main square and Cathedrals leads you up to a Shrine/Catholic site that includes stations of the cross and offerings. Once you have climbed all the way to the top you have incomparable views of Copacabana and Lake Titicaca. I would advise if you go up around Sunset, the views are amazing but make sure you have a flashlight or headlamp as there are no lights anywhere on the mountain and you should be careful when walking down.

To get to the top takes 30 mins, maybe a little more if you stop to take photos along the way.The walk up is not very hard - you don't have to be mountain climber to get there, however I took a few stops to catch my breath. When you finally reach the top, the views are rewarding - you can see the whole Copacabana city and the bay with the boats - it's really nice. For religious people it may be interesting to experience the climb as a spiritual experience.

As you pant up the hill, halfway up, about station of the cross six or seven, you have an option of going up the Inca hill on the right instead of the very catholic, stations of the cross hill on left. The hill on the rightt is far less crowded and far more interesting. The top is covered with burned out rock altarpieces, especially in August as people burn llama fetuses, candy, wine, and other things to appease the mother earth. The only downside to this hill is it is lower than the main hill, but you will likely have it to yourself and get just as good a view. Watch out for stray dogs after dark on way down.

A bit of a huff and puff to get up, so leave yourself time. At the top of the main steps, I suggest you turn right to the smaller of the two hills, not left to the crowded Calvary monument. Just a few Bolivian families performing ceremonies, and otherwise you've got the view to yourself if that's your inclination. In theory there is a path down from the Calvary monument to the harbour side but looked incredibly steep and not sensibly-attempted after sunset. In the dark best to retrace your steps down the main path into the town.
