We cycled out from Puerto Natales to reach this mirador. The entry fee (which is a bit steep) is charged by the farm owners and gives you access to the path up the mountain and tea and biscuits after. The trek up the mountain is enjoyable passing through various types of vegetation. The wind up the top was fierce and lots of fun to be in. In the end, I would say the entry price is worth it!Great prep for the W!

This was the perfect activity for my gropu since we only had 1 full day in Puerto Natales but wanted to spend some of it outdoors. It was a very cheap (less than $20 roundtrip) taxi to get out there but then unfortunately we had to pay an admission fee (either 5 or 10,000 chillean pesos, I can't remember which) which I thought was too high. Admittedly they served us a nice afternoon meal of toast, cookies and cofee when we got back down which was very pleasant. But all and all the hike was worth it since it had great views of the city, the bay and the glacial topography. Plus we had the entire place to ourselves.

The hike go up strongly in the 1st half of hour and then more lightly.Don't forget to taste all the berries here(calafate, churos, mirtilles) and to search for morrels and orchidea... View from the mirador worth the effort and at return, a cup of tea/coffee and a cake are the rule...

Fun hike, only takes an hour or so to hike to the top. (You have to pay a fee before heading up which seemed bit superfluous/annoying...as this isn't exaclty Torres del Paine). Walk through a field up big hill, through pretty forest...they you arrive at kind of ugly, treeless summit where the wind is extreme. in fact, when you are couple hundred yards from summit you can hear what sounds like a jet engine...but it still hard to describe the power of the wind when you get to top. We couldn't really even enjoy view given extraordinary wind. Our teenagers loved it, even after getting rocks blown in their face... (btw...small kids would def be at risk of getting injured or worse, would not recommend if wind is really howling). Great way to spend 2-3 hours if looking for something to do. BTW...we took taxi from town for 5K pesos (about 9 bucks)...and then had taxi return to pick us up for same fare.

My husband and I just got back from this trip and I am indeed quite angry. The lady who received us at the property charged a ridiculous expensive entry - more than the fee at Torres del Paine park, the same as a one way trip (3h bus) Punta Arenas-Puerto Natales. Then she said she would give us tea, coffee, biscuits in the way back. When we got back from the track the lady had disappeared and did not leave any tea for us. The view was nice but I don't think it is worthy that much. You just walk by yourself, you pay just to cross part of their property.

the view is incredible, the whole fjord, natales it seems to be very small, paine grande at the back, the wind, you will notice the Patagonia there. One thing i didnt like much was that as it is a private aerea the prices for entrance are very expensive.. they should ask voluntary cooperation instead of entrance and also trashcans or something... anyways, sometimes the people who is in charge offer a cup of warm tea or home made goat cheese or anything else when you are back and they are very friendly and local

This was a great experience. Just a short trip out of Puerto Natales this is a great walk up the side of a small mountain (by chilean standards). Takes about one hour up but be aware it is steep so coming down you need to take your time. But take the time at the top, it is a great view and if you are lucky you might see a Condor. One flew over us, unbelievable! When we got back to the farm house we were offered a lovely snack.

You can walk, which is a lovely walk through awesome forrest, or you can ride up with Adan Paredes on Parcelo No15, which is just two estacias along from where the walk starts. We did both, because we loved the view - both are worthwhile. Btw - if you want to ride, just ask direct (phone ahead, number on google), the agencies in town charge 50% commission. I liked the ride, my horse was quite forward going as I said I could ride while my beginner boyfriend got given a strong but obedient corillo who gave him no problems.

I've decided to go from Natales to Cerro Dorotea by foot - what took me around one hour, and it was a pretty enjoyable walk. After getting there, I was faced with an admission fee, and I've paid it feeling like I was being ripped off. But in the end of the trip, I had some amenities like cookies and tea waiting for me by a very sympathic lady who would love to talk about the views I had in the Mirador and about my country, and suddenly, I felt like that money was being well spent. On the way back, I was even able to hitch a hike by the amazing chilean folks over there, and it just contributed to the overall experience of the Mirador. It's worth spending a half day there, that's for sure.

Vale a pena!
