We enjoyed our visit to this museum. Had an English speaking guide who gave us a great tour and was clearly very proud of the history of Juan Montalvo and his connection to Ambato. This is close to the cathedral and the lovely Macadamia Tea Room. A great way to see some of Ambato

Juan Montalvo was essentially an Ecuadorian philosophe who gave moral and intellectual support to the independence movement in the 19th century. He lived in exile in Paris for a while.
