A unique site to visit and it has been well maintained. The tour guides were great (Sarah) and our kids loved it (girls, 6 & 8).The history is fascinating, and the lighting in the cave is beautiful.There are a lot of stairs, so wear good shoes. If you're claustrophobic it might not be a good idea to visit as it goes a long way down through some tight squeezes.

This was an interesting cave and we were definitely glad that we saw it. Unfortunately, you have to wait up to a half hour for a 'semi-guided' tour which consists of a member of staff opening the gate and telling you NOT TO TOUCH ANYTHING (we were told no less that five times) before sending you on your merry way down the cave. The handrails down in the cave are also filthy so be ready to want to wash your hands after you finish looking around.

We have visited many caves on the eastern side of Australia and I found that this was among the best I've seen. We did the semi guided tour and found the guides/helpers to be friendly, knowledge and helpful. We took 2 hours to wander the Show Cave and although I thought the lights were a little over the top, I could see that young people would love them. Just great - recommend it!!

Thank you for your comments on the beautiful crystal formations inside Ngilgi - there are so many to see, from delicate shawls and straws to huge columns, and even a miniature ‘fairy cave’ filled with dogtooth crystals...
