I LOVED this beach, very suitable for young children as the water isnt very deep and you can walk for about half a mile out to sea and it comes up to your knees. The sea is lovely and warm. We hired a canoe and paddle board, also there are bikes to hire. There is no food facilities here, but there is a water tap for your bottles. There are very small jelly fish here, I read that they are stinging ones and would probably have never got in the water if I knew that, after half an hour sitting in the water I looked closley and they were all over the place, but after two days in and out of the water none of us were stung or itchy or anything so they must be safe. This beach really does bring Dunsborough into its own, and we went to Meelup beach and didnt rate it at all compared to this one.

It's wonderful to hear about your fantastic stay overlooking Geographe Bay! You were lucky to visit during springtime as the whales are migrating by with their young, it's possible to see them breaching from the beach, so we hope you saw some! We hope that you have the opportunity to return in summer, as the water is beautiful for swimming. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. The roads around Dunsborough are so beautiful for exploring! As you head from Dunsborough to Cape Naturaliste there are secluded bays such as Meelup Beach, Eagle Bay and Bunker Bay. At this time of year the whales have begun to pass by and they’ll often stop to rest before heading south to the Antarctic – it’s magical to see them breaching with their young, we hope you saw them! Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope you pay a return visit soon. Best wishes, Geographe Bay Tourism Association

Thank you for your review of our beautiful area. Your stroll along the bay sounds wonderful, we are so fortunate to share our region with such a spectacular range of wildlife! We hope that you have the opportunity to come back soon - from September to December each year the bay becomes a "nursery" as whale mothers and their young stop in to feed and strengthen before they continue into the Southern Ocean.Best wishes, Geographe Bay Tourism Association
