Something all immigrants should see. It was many years before we knew that 2,000 people were interned there in WW11.John & Beth

The attraction, whilst not big is full of history, It would be especially interesting for anyone who had relatives involved. The centre is run by volunteers. The day we were there one of the volunteers was there and he was very keen to tell us all about the history of the place and was happy to answer any questions. A key is needed to enter when it is unattended. This can be obtained from the Harvey Visitors Centre, a short walk away. The Harvey Visitors Centre is also well worth a visit. Beautiful gardens.
