Our family did the Viewing Rock via Devils Cave circuit. This walk is listed as easy to moderate by Parks Victoria. I personally would list it as moderate. There are a lot of steep very rocky areas to walk up and down. Definitely not for the frail or very young. The whole circuit with breaks took approximately 1 and 1/4 hours. Viewing Rock Lookout has a great view of Heathcote town and surrounding paddocks. You don't realise how high you are until you look down. There are some smaller gum trees that are starting to grow and block some of the view. Hopefully Parks Vic will take care of thisOverall a good walk for the morning. Don't forget to take water with you.

A great dirt track up to viewing rock was easy for a 2 wheel drive when wet I would suggest 4WD only. Once there the view is fantastic over the whole of Heathcote and beyond.

Very close to the Heathcote main street (turn off the main street, past the show grounds, around the corner 500m and Range Drive is on the right) it is well worth a look if you need to kill 30 minutes. There is a picnic table and you get a great view over the Heathcote township back towards Melbourne. Best of all its free.
