Although late in the season, the roses still have that striking beauty. We spent quite some time "to smell the roses"

A lovely rose garden to wander through. I wouldn't make a special effort for the garden but combined with the mansion, it's great

If you are a rose enthusiast, this is a must see for you when in Melbourne. A bountiful array of color, size and smell of roses wil warmly greet you. If you "stop and smell the roses", you could easily spend hours here. A short 5 minute walk from the Rose Garden will lead you to the Werribee mansion. The sprawling garden is a sight to behold and of course the architecture is characteristically Victorian. During the weekend, families having a bbq or a game of footy or cricket is a common sight.Werribee is around half an hour drive (barring traffic) from the Melbourne CBD.

100s of roses including heritage varieties, lovely on a mild day, but the sun can be relentless on a hot day

You can say thank you to all the folk who give there time freely to look after this garden. This is a place to visist for people of all ages. There are times when you have to search for a place on the lawns to sit with the family and have your picnic.A garden to visit any time of the year.

Very well maintained. Well worth strolling through. Loved the Fragrant Cloud Rose. Make sure that you visit this area.

So wonderful...a must see!!! I'm a lover of David Austin Roses and found the separate area displaying these a joy!!. We went during summer, but will definately return during spring.

This place is very well tended and a must for any rose-lover. In mid-January, which is when we went, everything seemed to be in bloom with masses of flowers wherever you looked. This would be a very romantic place for a couple to visit - but we went with children and were just as happy!

Very nice place to visit. The girlfriend loved it. More so than the zoo. Best thing about it is the price as well as it is free. Would love to see this place early spring when the flower start blooming there

The rose range was good but as its volunteer cared for could be better tended. Happy to have seen it but wouldn't go again unless roses are better cared for.

Peaceful and wide range of roses of all colours. Many areas to sit or have a picnic. Great day out for families, couples or singles.

We were told by the hotel management to check our the gardens. Unfortunately we were a few days late as most of the roses were gone. Time your trip for September and I believe that you will see a magnificent well set out display of roses.
