we went to the Sunday market at the station, which was great then took a trip on the old railway. We loved it, the scenery was breathtaking and the ride on this old train from Wigan, UK was just wonderful.

The museum on the station was fascinating, with a range of quality souvenirs to buy. My ride on the 1930s vintage rail motor to Bullarto and back through the Wombat Forest was great. The Sunday Market is there every weekend and there are over 50 stalls.

Good for the kids. Nice little scenic (not spectacular, but nice enough) railway that goes for about 45 min return.

A very enjoyable trip through farmland and forest on an old rail-motor. An authentic experience of what train travel would have been like in the Daylesford area. Highly recommended.

Daylesford market is a must to go and see. This market has Interesting, great crafts and produce to purchase. This market is open every Sunday and parking is easy not to far to walk.It is also easy moving for Disabled people and people who use Wheelie Walkers.Lots of hand made toys, knitwear for young and old .Magnificent hats and capes and yummy food.Friendly people and the ride on the steam train is fun and magical.Clothes and hand made socks make you feel warm just to see them .Home goods example being lights, vases, mats coffee mugs and mug and cup wooden holders are fun and a talking point . Toys for children are safe and very low in price. Daylesford market is a must for a great walk a great talk and a chance to purchase items that are useful and fairly priced.

Loved every second of our rail trip. Great scenery, and the train was just as it would have been in its heyday. The driver was happy to be photographed with us too! If anything, the trip was too short!

My husband & I rode the Daylesford Spa Country Railway last Sunday 27th July. We both enjoyed the trip to Musk & the return trip to Daylesford. Although couple of windows were in need of repair the return trip was worth the chilly carriage ride. The train is in process of being renovated & the statione & equipment. Would encourage anyone to ride this train & support the refit being carried out.

Even though it was a cold day we stepped into the Railcar which was nicely heated. With our tickets we were given a brochure which described the history of the line and what we would see along the way. Leaving Daylesford station we traversed farmland before climbing into the hills. The line then travelled through the forest and passed through the wayside station of Musk before arriving at the current terminus of Bullarto (now the highest station in Victoria). The pleasant station sits in a pretty forest clearing and is very picturesque. A short stop here to stretch our legs before returning to Daylesford. The preservation group have managed to preserve this line as a typical example of the many branch lines run by the Victorian Railways and which now have sadly all been closed.

I love going on this train. It is a must when I come to Daylesford. It is so relaxing and great scenery. Bought some DVD's of trains so I can relive my journey and see others I want to go on. Sure bets Melbourne Metro!

We travelled on the "Silver Streak, rail car for a Champagne and nibbles train ride from Daylesford to Bullarto. The scenery was beautiful, tall gums and forrests and small hamlets, the train was an old railcar restored to it original condition, we were served hot savouries, and delishious anti pasto, we were plied with champagne, red and white wine, and soft drinks for those who didn't drink. I would recommend this trip for rail fan and for small groups or for a special occasion. Not suitable for children.

A fun trip on a nice old train. I can't wait for them to fix up the next section of line so that it's a bit longer!

Great fun ride. The volunteers who run this do a fantastic job. Lovely market to browse too while waiting for the train.

Love the railway, and great for a ride on Sundays. Excellent market at the station on Sundays. Pity they dont have a steam train running, but the motor rail is still fun. Well done to the volunteers to work hard to keep it all going.

Premier Sir Rupert tore up the tracks in the seventies and eighties just as tourism in Daylesford was taking off, what foresight!? Pity our governments can't afford to rectify the consequences of his near sighted actions.

A great way to spend a couple of hours. The staff were fantastic and friendly and the food & wine was perfect.
