Hardly any animals, bbq areas unclean, pony rides are not free despite fee entry to park. Animals appeared hungry and overall in need of attention. Overall a Dissapointing experience!

This park is very diverse, great for bbqs or kids playgrounds. look out for the scarred tree which is fenced off next to the road.

Overall it was a disappointing visit. The whole place is very 'tired' looking and in some places quite dirty. The animal farm part of it was alright and my kids enjoyed being able to pat the small goats and sheep. However the signage was poor and we did not know that you could go into some of the enclosures until we saw others in there (we were the first in the park and it was on our walk back we saw other people) as there was nothing saying that you could or where you entered. There are signs saying to wash your hands after petting the animals but if we could find a sink there was no soap. The gardens have lots of unused beds that look like they have been abandoned. This makes the place look very untidy. There is a sign saying that there is a flying fox however it appears that this has not been in use for quite some time as the bottom steps have been removed and is another thing that looks abandoned. There is a bird watching area that you look out over the pond - well the pond is just about dried up which is fine but the path to the area is very overgrown and once again looks abandoned. We went for a look at the Heritage Village which was pointless. None of the buildings were open and again no signage or information. This place has the potential to be fantastic with a little TLC but at the moment I do not think it is worth the money you pay.

This is only a review of the Children's Animal Farm. We were so underwhelmed we didn't bother looking at anything else.Short version - Farm staff need a LOT of work in customer service and animal handling. Not one friendly "hello" or anything of the sort, not even a smile. - The way the animals were handled was not ideal - especially in front of small children. Shoving a 3 day old guinea pig in your shirt pocket and throwing (I mean throwing) baby chickens in to a small bucket which is already stuffed full of baby rabbits is probably not the best thing for young, impressionable children to see. I understand animals are very hardy, but these are very young kids who are watching what the 'experts' are doing and following their every move. - Cafe staff were very friendly and accommodating. Slow service but it's due to the processes in place, not the staff.Long versionI don't have high expectations of animals farms but I think the basics need to be set for something to run successfully... The best way to describe our experience is the order in which everything happened. We arrived at 10:30 in the morning and were the first people in the farm area. You have to follow the 'Farm Cafe' signs to get to the carpark.Cafe staff were friendly as we paid and went in. Place was completely deserted. Arrived at a sign which talked about sheep and were greeted by 2 horses and a pony. Fair enough, lets pat those and move on.Walk past the rabbit hutch and the chicken and duck enclosures and spent some quality time in there. We are still the only ones there which is great.Walk up to the pig pens - no pigs. Ok, so there are no sheep and no pigs. Fine, moving on.We head to the nursery where in 10 minutes time there will be an opportunity to feed the baby animals (goats). We start looking around. A staff member and someone I can only presume another young lady who would have been her daughter were in the nursery and completely ignored us. We hung around as we knew the feeding would be soon. The nursery started filling up and 2 minutes before the feeding the staff member comes in and sits on a rock in the corner and announces it will be another 5 minutes before we start feeding. Long story short here - the feeding was a mess. Cute - but a mess.We decided to walk on after watching for a few minutes. Went to see more animals but most of the enclosure were full of goats and only goats...After the baby animal feeding was a chance to pat and cuddle the baby rabbits, chicks and baby guinea pig. This was a nice experience but as I said in the short version, wasn't overly impressed with the way the animals were handled in front of the kids.We had lunch in the cafe on the way out. The highchairs were filthy, I mean to the point where we decided we didn't want to use them.We left the animal farm extremely disappointed. We've been to other animal farms and this by far was the worst experience I've had. Which is very disappointing as this is in a fantastic location with a fantastic layout. If they bring in some more enthusiastic, child friendly staff I think this place would have been a winner for us.

There are many actvities in Bundoora Park, situated off Plenty Road Bundoora. The Golf Course to the left and to the right shelters for picnics and swings etc for the kids. Further along the road to the right there is the area for animals, and a little train (tractor actually) takes you into the bush to see the Kangaroos and emu's. There is plenty to do and see there, Last time I was there with Grandchildren, there were pigs, sheep, a camel, cow rabbits, chooks, goats and horses to ride, plus a vegetable garden. Lovely way to spend a day or an afternnon Take a picnic, a hat or eat in the cafe as you enter this area.

has a lovely cafe, play ground for the children, paths for walks, nice bushland, and lots of animals to see and interact with.

Took 3 and 5 year old kids to Childrens Farm They had a great day although there were a lot of people due to school holidays They managed to feed a goat and had a ride on a horse (A bit high priced $3 for one lap around a small area) Service at the café was extremely slow and would suggest that you take your own food and drinks as there are plenty of places to sit and eat. For kids being able to get in with the poultry and smaller animals was fun. Story telling was available on the day we went and it was really enjoyed by our two who got right in with the actions and singing. will go back

I took my 4 year old niece for a visit to bundoora park and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The cafe at the visitors centre was welcoming, warm and the staff were lovely. Lounges, open fire place and beautiful surroundings made for a great little outing. Emus and kangaroos and an animal farm for the kids not to mention fantastic play equipment. Good on you all for a truly lovely place to visit.

Took the little ones to the children's farm and boy was it a hit. There was a bit of confusion regarding face painting & jumping castle which had been advertised on whats on but apparently were not there. Not a problem though as this was soon forgotten by the little ones once they started chasing the little hens, petting the rabbits and bottle feeding the lambs. It was a great day completed with playing in the playgrund by the entrance - a good day out!

Bundoora park is a nice day out for the family. The cafe which services the farm can be slow in delivering food and the food is average but is convenient. Farm is worth a look but not that impressive. Out 5 y/o enjoyed some of the animals and the slide but enjoyed the free park outside instead.Worth a look.

Bundoora park is very big, it has picnic areas, golf course & a children's farm, which has an entry fee but it is very worth while. Lots of shady trees & car park. Tram at doorstep & shopping centre across the road if you need to get all your food & drinks for a beautiful picnic in the park.

Park is extensive with a good variety of activities. Animal enclosures are pitiful, freezing cold no straw for bedding and no food, dirty pens. One baby goat had a cough, dead rooster in chicken pen, mother goat with new baby trying to escape the public eye and becoming distressed. . Animals have feelings. Having raised quite a number of goats I couldn't believe how little milk they were given. Very sad, certainly need some animal husbandry skills. Kids did enjoy themselves. Heritage settlement interesting although you cannot access any buildings.

This is the perfect place for a day out with the kids. Perfect for the small right to under 10s. Great park, picnic area, horse rides, animal feeding my kids had a ball.

I am from the Philippines and one of the things that I wished my country had more of are parks. So coming to Bundoora brought me back to my childhood :-) I know it's just an ordinary park but it is an amazing BIG park with farm animals that both kids and adults would love.

Very disappointing. Entrance fee is high for not much facilities or attractions and you have to pay additional for pony rides etc. They say you can bottle feed the baby animals and cuddle the guinea pigs/rabbits but when we were there, all the baby animals were taken out (mobile baby animal petting farm). My little 2 year old was given a full grown guinea pig which then bit her and her thumb started bleeding profusly. They then proceeded to blame my two yr old for sticking her thumb in the guinea pig's mouth. She's only two years old. Its unbelivable that they would blame a two year old for this. No my daughter did not delibrately stick her thumb in the guinea pig's mouth, she was just trying to hold the guinea pig like they told her to. They say they are not allowed to give antiseptic so my daughter was sent home with a nasty bite with just a bandaid. No one bothered to ask me whether she was ok or even tried to comfort her. Worse experience I ever had, both in terms of value for money or customer service. My daughter is now scared of guinea pigs and thus I will never take her to the Bundoora Children Farm again.
