I have been here over 10 years ago in Autumn and I would have to say that was an amazing time to visit and the colours are amazing - so much orange. Its an amazing place and has a cute little picnic area as well. There is a toilet here (its a 'long drop' but fairly clean) but its across the road from the parking area (not well signed). If your going to the Otway Fly or Apollo Bay definitely worth the drive - also visit Hopetoun Falls as well which is just near by.

We visited the Otway fly, Hopetoun falls and the redwood forest on the same morning. Was worth the visit after some rain.

This is a great spot, not only for the surprising fact that there is a Californian Redwood plantation in the middle of the Otway Ranges, but also for the fact that there are picnic tables and toilet facilities (with plenty of toilet paper!) so you can take a nice break from all the windy, unsealed roads and relax in a beautiful environment.Walking amongst the towering redwoods is very awe-inspiring - you get the feeling that the trees block noise and it's just the profound silence enveloping you. Until, of course, the kids start screaming with joy as they hide behind the redwoods and play chasey! It's a great spot for chasey, actually! There is a lovely creek that runs alongside the plantation that was a huge hit with our 4 year old son. 6 year old daughter loved running around between the trees.

A visit to this incredible forest was the icing on the cake of a day trip to Otway Fly, Triplet Falls and then a different route back to the GOR along this well maintained dirt logging road. i recommend bringing a picnic rug and gourmet picnic to soak up the serenity. our boys moaned..."oh do we have to go on another walk!" as we pulled up, but within a metre into the forest they were taken by the magic of these incredible trees.

Even though there were several times I nearly gave up trying to find this as the drive was not a simple one it was well worth the persistence. The area is majestic and tuts beauty is thrilling. I can't wait to go back when it is not in the middle of a thunderstorm!!

I was absolutely amazed at this bit of redwood forest in amongst the tree ferns of the Otway's. It is a strange thing to come across and quite a magical place. We met another visitor who had seen a platypus in the clear stream the day before so he was back for more. I would go here again !

We were surprised to see the sign for the Redwood Forest, and were very glad we stopped. It has easy access, right off the road. The forest was planted by Oregon Goldrush men in 1938. It was quiet, serene, and mystic. Interesting contrast of California Redwoods on one side of the stream, and Australian bush on the other. Found out later that this is not the only Redwood Forest planted in Australia!

Lovely walks. Towering redwood trees and beautiful waterfalls. Quiet and scenic.
