I honestly thought that this building was going to be a true local....crusty, dusty and a little out of date. Apart from the video needing a little tweaking due to progress of the Ted Smout Bridge, this is a lovely museum, albeit small but an excellent resource and what beautiful architecture is hidden behind the guise of the brick facade. Lots of interesting things to see, interactive displays and having been there many times now...the displays are changed regularly making it worthwhile visiting it at least 4 times a year or more!

This is beautifully situated Museum.I would suggest seeing the 15 minute little film of the story of Redcliffe from first white settlemnt before doing anything elseYou will sit in proper old tip-up cinema seats and be entertained not only by the film but also the effects!After that have a look at the exhibits - not great in number but worth seeing.The 'shed' brought back many memories.Whilst I was there - early March 2015 - there was also an excellent display of political cartoons.The young chap 'in charge' was helpfullness personified and suggested the walk along the creek to the original landing site which was delightful

It was a little hard to find on our first visit to this museum and would benefit with better road signage. Once inside we were surprised by the excellent display. At the time the theme was all about the railways. Take the time to visit the little theatre where the film showing gives an excellent insight into the developement of the Peninsula.

Life guard on duty, great shaded areas, kids play pool, BBQs a little light on the ground, must get in early, great Moreton Bay views. place is a credit the local council and rate payers.

Always kept very clean. Variety of things to see. Regularly changing for patrons to revisit all year round. Volunteer staff very friendly. Great place to visit when the weather is not so great outdoors.

visited Redcliffe Museum today, friendly staff, free entry, car park with plenty of parking and a great little place with lots of interesting history and facts about redcliffe from the very beginning, to the first settlement and until now as soon as you walk in you can watch a short film in the theatre which gives a good in sight to all this. plenty of interesting exhibits to see around the museum including a kids area, only a small place but well worth a visit. good place for anyone especially kids.

There is a lovely area for kids where they can play, do craft, dress-up, read books and the best of all try out some objects from past like a dial-up really old phone, typewriter, iron and more. There are some informative exhibitions for the older kids and adults. Behind the museum building is a creek where we had our picnic.

It gives you an in depth understanding of a by gone era. Set out well. You get an appreciation of the growth and development though image and film about the first farmers towns folk and life around this beach.

The Museum has hosted up to six temporary exhibitions per year.They focus is telling stories around a number of themes. The Jetty Gallery is a temporary space for displays.

Its on the site of an old catholic Church and has got a fair bit of Queensland and Australian history within its walls But primarily its a Redcliffe Museum and a very good one at that

I have been through this museum on a few occasions, they do change the displays and there are some very interesting stories and things to see. Redcliffe was the first white settlement in QLD, it is a historic place with all you need to learn about its aboriginal and white past all there in the museum, a must see if you love anything historical
