Mt Ngungun has a well defined and maintained track, good workout and a must see if visiting the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The summit is spectacular!

This was a good climb - it was not too hard a climb but still gave us a good work out. The view was spectacular from the top, especially towards the end of the day when it was a bit cooler.

Great walk up Mount Ngungun mountain in the heart of the Glasshouse Mountains. The walk is not difficult although you do require a mediocre ;level of fitness to achieve the peek. Take a back pack and water and do not forget the camera as the views are spectacular. Also, lock the car at the base as there has been reports of break-ins. Overall a 2 hour experience and well worth it.

The walk to the summit starts from a small car park on Fullertons Road, about 2km west of Glasshouse Mountains village. It's classified as a Grade 4 track with a return journey time of 2 hours. In fact it's easier than that, with majority of winding pathway through shade over small rocks or steps, although sturdy footwear is definitely a good idea, especially if wet. The last 20m or so to the summit is an easy scramble over large boulders and the reward is a stunning 360 of the other National Park peaks and beyond to the Blackall Range to the north plus the coast to the east. Well worth the effort!

Just need 40-50 minutes track walking, then can get 360 degree amazing view. Standing on the peak can easily see the sunshine coast and even Brisbane city in the end of the horizon. Very worth to visit.

Climbed this mountain today while visiting the glass house mountains. Sign says to allow 2 hours, we took our time and did it in about an hour and a half. Great views from the top and we even saw a snake!

Of all the Glasshouse Mountains, Mt Ngungun is probably to easiest to climb. To get there, turn off the Bruce Highway to Steve Irwin Way, and drive to the village of Glass House Mountains. Follow the signs along Fullertons Road to the Mt Ngungun car park. The track to the summit has some wonderful views of the mountains, and after approximately 1.4km of trail (paths, steep stairs, rock steps, and bare rock shelves), you reach the summit 253 metres above sea level. The summit of Mt Ngungun offers 360 degree views, and as they say... "On a clear day you can see forever!" The trail has a medium degree of difficulty, but the effort is well worth it! Take good walking shoes, hat, water, camera and binoculars, if you have them! The car park is small, and we couldn't find any facilities except a notice board and one table and two benches.
