I went here to enjoy the cafe for lunch and peruse the gallery with my parents, and some other family ... Only to be told upon arrival that the cafe was not there any more and wasn't that impressed with the items on display. Kind of thought it would reflect more about the Grafton area. The staff were nice.

love a drive, make a day of this, old dirt road going through old gold mining town of Dalmorton, through the fantastically hand built tunnel made by convicts, up through Newton Boyd, then on to the Mann River camp grounds, then at the top of the range either go back to Grafton or go to Glen Innes. So we have 3 under 3 and took them along this road, the council had grate red it so it was really pleasant to drive on, we stopped at dalmorton where there are some toilets in the old prison area, let the kids play in the tennis court and checked out the old butchers shop, just around the corner from this was a fantastic camping ground that the national parks keeps really tidy and clean. We jumped back into the car and drove on to check out the convict tunnel, it was phenomenal and there are these little rock wallabies that live there it was well worth the drive.Kept driving and came near the Henry River where there is a WW1 memorial, (all this stuff you never see in the brochures, they keep this place a secret, ) when we got to the WW1 memorial there was this little honey stall where the people who live there are BEEKEEPERS, they don't keep bees on the property but they sell some of there honey at this stall along with BEESWAX candles and this absolute amazing lipbalm,(haven't found anything that compares) . seeing this place was such a highlight as there is no shops, mobile service and hardly any properties on this road that we saw, I highly recommend checking this out as a fascination with benefits the honey was the best i have eaten. After having our picnic at the Henry River we drove along and saw the Mann River camping ground, it was really nice, clean with toilets and camp areas for vans, and maps to tell you where you are, we drove up the big hill and headed down the range back to Grafton. We where really impressed with this drive and really recommend it to campers and day trippers alike, but make sure you fuel up before you take the drive as there is no petrol stations on the way.(little fact , the people with the honey stand said they will be putting a little honey shop in that is still only the honesty system,..... theres trust for you.) We are driving back down there next year over winter and hoping the honey shops open, I will take a pic a post it for you all to see.

This is the Clarence Valley's cultural hub and one of the best regional art galleries in the northern rivers area of NSW. The gallery has a fabulous collection and exhibitions program and hosts the biannual JADA drawing prize and symposium in October. Put this on your must visit list.
