We visited the Discovery Centre with 2 and 4 year olds and were pleasantly surprised by how there were many simple yet interesting displays. The children were able to touch and feel the displays and their interest in sealife was definitely keenly cultivated by a lovely volunteer who spend a lot of time showing them around and teaching them about all the displays, even heading off to find a sharpener to sharpen extra colouring pencils for them and hanging their drawings up on the wall. Above and beyond!!!!! The fish feeding display was also great to watch and Ron and Julie delivered this with great enthusiasm. A wonderful morning!

We were after snorkeling with the kids. The team arranged for us in a short notice very professional guides, equipment and an enjoyable snorkeling experience for 2 hours in an amazing spot nearby. Highly recommended.

Fantastic school holiday program at a very reasonable cost. We had the holiday activities inside the centre. The staff were great in helping the kids learn about fossils. Good range of exhibits in the centre too.

I expected so much more from this centre. Everything is hands on, including some of the animals. There is a table with skeletons and such that can be touched. Overall, there isn't a lot to see though. In a town the size of Eden, it's worth a visit, but just don't have too high of expectations.

Tried to visit on Saturday but unfortunately was closed. I might be blind as I couldn't find the opening house displayed anywhere. Check opening hours before going.

Had the place to ourselves as we visited as a family in term time. Value for money at $20 for a family. Children enjoyed the brilliant microscopes and touch tank the best. I liked the true story about the diver who was bitten by a shark but managed to survive.

$20 for the family was the best-spent money of our trip. While it initially looks a little "basic", we soon discovered it was a great way to spend a couple of hours. The "tween" children were kept engaged the whole time. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

We stopped in here with the kids, 5, 3 and 2 year old. $20 entry for the family. The place was much smaller than I anticipated, but great hands-on activities for the kids. They loved it so much they didn't want to leave, and then they asked to go back there the next day! Staff were knowledgable. Definitely worth a visit if you have young children.

Great place to take the family for a few hours of marine discovery. We loved the Microscopes which projected the items under the microscope on to large flat screen monitors for us all to see. The volunteers were knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic and catered to a wide range of marine related and non-related questions. We would unreservedly recommend a visit when you are in the area.

Fantastic experience with plenty of interesting things to see and touch. Our kids loved it and learned plenty in the process. Staff very friendly and happy to answer any questions.

I took my 2 & 6 year olds and they loved it. This wonderful centre has a variety of displays which encompass the marine environment from local species, marine geology, live fish tanks, a touch tank and lots of ways for kids to get hands on. There's a microscope with a big screen so they can look at samples close up. A great way for kids to make the link between the ocean and science. There's marine related activities on a regular basis and there's even a display telling the story of a local diver who was taken by a great white shark in local waters and survived - you can see the wetsuit he was wearing. Lots about whales and the impact of man on the marine environment. All round a wonderful place to visit for young and old.

Visited with an 8, 5 and 1 year old and they all loved it (as did I). Really hands on for the kids - lots to touch and interact with and fantastic volunteers who really make the place come alive. It is also great value for money and kept our 3 entertained for at least an hour and half and I think they would have loved to have stayed longer.Thank you to the lovely volunteers who made it all so interesting.
