The golf course was great with tricky greens so I am told by my husband who golfed and enjoyed the views. We had a very pleasant meal afterwards. The steak was good and the vegetables were excellent . Good golf club food and again the view over the 18th was wonderful. Service spasmodic but friendly. Very good French Apple tart for dessert . Only $10 a serve. All at a reasonable price.

We recently ate at the Tasmannian Golf Club; lured by an offer in a local entertainment book. There were 6 of us, 3 middle aged couples who all live locally in Southern Tasmania. Unfortunately, we left with mixed feelings - 2 of the 6 liked their meals, 2 thought they were just average and 3 pretty disappointed. My scallops were small, over cooked and in under-supply! They came in a small bowl, dwarfed by a very large serving of chips and a bit of salad tossed on a plate as an apparent after thought. Other expereinces were better, the Salmon was nice according to my wife bu the Chicken Parmy looked like what you've get for $10 in a bar at your local pub - and it was dry and over cooked. Overall, prices are probbaly fair, service was decent and deserts OK. Will we go back? Probably not in a hurry.

We played 18 holes here in March after being in Tassie for a mate's bucks party. Course is always in good nick and is a great layout. 3rd hole is spectacular! Pro shop is well stocked and clubhouse was open for beers when we were there.Would recommend if you are serious about your golf or just want a hit with your mates.

We had a large table and orders were taken efficiently. The restaurant has a great outlook over bushland and golf course. However, the meal was quite slow in arriving...the food was pretty good - we both had steaks and enjoyed them. Good place for a family meal.

We had a great meal in the Tasmania Golf Club Restaurant, which has lovely views over the course and bay. The meal was cooked as ordered and the service and staff were really good, very helpful and not pushy. We are locals, but this is our first visit to sample the food that they served here and we were very pleased we decided to give them a try. Nice choice and variety on the menu at reasonable prices and children are catered for too. Well worth a visit, we will be eating there again.

Great course! Nice greens that are large & testing. Magnificent views, especially on the 3rd hole! Very friendly staff, great meals & Service. Was definitely the best course I played whilst I was in Tas!!! Wish I could have stayed longer. The girl in the office was beautiful!

They must be going broke and the fairways are almost dead having not having water for ages

A true golfer's golf course that one must play when in Hobart. It's easy to find at the end of the Tasman Motorway and has great views over the ocean and estuary. Its tough to play but worth the effort.
