It was a fascinating store to visit. Something for everything most reasonably priced. Wouldn't like to take young children there as the displays are quite close together

Went specifically to purchase a german doll. Place is like an amusement park for kids. Whole families turned up to "look" they should charge an admission as from what I could see way more people were just looking and not many buying. Found the doll I was looking for and it had been way over handled and appeared second hand when assistant questioned about its condition she just replied oh lots of people handle the dolls. Well at close to $800 needless to say doll remains in shop

Visited this shop today. Massively overcrowded,to the point where you can hardly move. Dont get me started on the cost of some of the toys, dolls, etc. I could understand if they were antiques,or hand painted porcelain, but not hundreds of dollars for plastic toys.

Amazing store where you will find something for the person who has everything . The selection of bears , gifts , Olde world restoration, fudge, coffee jewelry, etc is unequaled in Tasmania

I was encouraged to visit by others but didn't think it would be all that good. Boy was I wrong, it was one of my favourite places in Tasmania! Rooms all over the place full with all sorts of things. I found a replica of an old handle for my door, a flying fox broach and some other stuff that I would never of thought would be there.Well worth the visit.

This is a fascinating little shop but well worth a visit. There are many section within the shop, including upstairs, that have a range of things to look at (teddies, dolls, antiques, jewellery, books.....well a bit if everything. It is a busy shop with objects and people with not much room to move though. They have the best fudge I've tasted in a long time.Looking for something to do this is one of them. Enjoy!

I normally dislike shops full of items, I feel claustrophobic and get a headache. But This shop was something all together different. Outside is misleading, and even as I entered I was not excited to be visiting, but My family insisted. Only a few steps in, and I knew it was a fascinating place to visit. Games, toys, dolls, furniture, clothes, anything you can think of, old and new, a really cool and interesting visit. No pressure to hurry through or to buy, just a great tour of some amazing items. Staff helpful without being irritating, a really fun and different experience.

this shop is a must see on a visit to tasmania, it is not on the tourist brochures, ther owners have converted a historical pub using 26 rooms to showcase a wonderful display of really amazing toys, games, masks and memorabilia dolls, teddy bears, the list is endless, i had to drag my lovely wife out kicking and screaming after two days lost in there, also if you rate caravanning, there is a campsite behind IGA in town $10 with toilets, dump point and water, also int the town is the cherry factory, axe mans hall of fame, chocolate factory nearby and only about 9 klms from devonport so good place to hang before ferry, inland drive through gun river valley to Rianna camp excellent

Reliquaire certainly gives you so much to look at. From the first step in the door your eyes struggle where to focus. You are greeted by a friendly staff member offering you a piece of fudge. Which I have to say was Yummy!Take the map, will will need it and make sure you don't have any time limits for the day you go. Also be prepared to come out with a few things.I will be back next year.

We were so lucky that the staff at the Sheffield visitor center had recommended stopping and Latrobe and visiting Reliquaire. This is definitely not your typical gift and toy shop - it is a huge treasure chest of all sorts of goodies, almost like a museum in fact! You are bound to find something that you want to buy, where the themes range from fairy to science. It definitely made me feel like a kid again! We had arrived at Reliquarie with less than 30 minutes before the shop closed - the staff were very friendly, they offered us some of their homemade fudge and gave us a map of their store which had a recommended path so you would not miss out on any of the sections. The map did come in very handy as the shop is quite big and easy to get lost in. The staff did not try to rush us, but we do suggest that you budget at least an hour to slowly browse through the entire store. Just an amazing amount of varied stock - it is quite any experience!

Amazing shop absolutely packed with porcelain dolls, teddies, giftware, books, costumes, toys all arranged in different rooms. Some of the larger figures had quite scary faces but it was very interesting. Definitely a must see if you visit Latrobe. I have never seen so much or so many different things in one shop. Amazing.

Reliquaire is a very surprising shop that is not only full of antiques but a whole range of common and unusual products, games & toys. My family of 2A and 6C (1, 2, 5, 7, 8 and 10) were pleasently surprised! When you walk in the door you see heaps of "old" teddies and dolls and a lady immediately offers you some home made fudge(& it is the best fudge I have ever tasted). You are then given a map to help you find your way through the expansive 2 story building. After you have only walked through a couple of rooms you already feel like you're in a fairytale& you realise why they hand out maps! When you go upstairs you are even more amazed! There is a special room up-stairs that any little girl or big girl at heart will love!I recommend this place to people of all ages although it was challenging to negiotiate the shop with our under2's but absolutely worth our effort. Even if you aren't into toys/teddies you will still be entertained & surprised! We spent 2hrs there and could have easily spent more and if ever back in Tassie we would visit again.

Very suprising discovery here - didn't expect the shop to be as big as it was. You walk from room to room with a wide range of displays from dolls to science toys, books and my favourite - a Dr Who kind of disco thing (sounds strange because it is). Worth a walk around no matter what your age or interest.
