tasman arch

We stopped by here on the way back to Hobart. Very impressive the size of the arch and the nearby Devils kitchen. There is also a great lookout with views of Port Arthur.

We visited the Tessellated Pavement, Tasman Arch, the Devils Kitchen and the Blow Hole on our way to Port Arthur. As natural features they were stunning and the countryside is just magnificent. We were really surprised at the quality of the food at the 'caravan' at the blowhole - our prawn rolls and oysters were really nice and everyone else's seafood and chips looked delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't then have enough time to fully explore Port Arthur. Would recommend that you stay in the area an extra day and take advantage of the re-entry to Port Arthur on the following day - perhaps do the introductionary walk and the cruise in the afternoon and then return in the morning to explore.

I loved this rock formation and found the signage and access fantastic with parking very close by. The way the rock has worn away is fantastic for children to understand the power of nature and erosion.

Formación rocosa natural en forma de arco sobre el océano pacifico. Se puede observar como las olas pasan por debajo del arco con estupenda fuerza. Muy bueno para tomar fotografías. No hay mucho lugar donde dejar el auto estacionado.

bueno es un arch pues, si estas por la zona vale parar y tomar una foto. es mucho mas espectacular cuando hay un mar movido.

Korte wandeling naar mooie natuur. Aantal bezienswaardigheden op korte afstand van elkaar. De moeite van een bezichtiging waard.
