Step back in history by taking a guided tour of Loxton's historical house, once owned by one of the districts wealthiest inhabitants. View the lady of the houses wedding gown and many more historical artifacts. Enjoy the renovated gardens and refurbished fountain all of which is maintained by local volunteers. A visit is highly recommended.

Wonderful old Home not open every day but you can look at the gardens and outside of the house, typical old country style building

The house & gardens are beautiful but only opened on the weekend. It was nice just to sit in the garden and enjoy my surroundings. The house is beautifully presented and gives an insight into life of a bygone age. I recommend a visit.

Visited The Pines historic homestead at Loxton - and what a treat! The house has been so well looked after by a dedicated group of volunteers and the rooms and contents are exactly as the late owner left them. Gorgeous antiques are mixed with the family's personal memorabilia and photographs. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and informative and were happy to answer all our questions. The surrounding gardens are a delight too and there is a Christmas light display there each December. At only $8.00 for the tour and an extra $4.00 for a very substantial afternoon tea (served on beautiful china cups and plates), this house is well worth a visit when you are in the Riverland.
