Fascinating personal tour full of interest for anyone who enjoys in local history. Worth the climb to the top.

My husband and I enjoyed the history of the lighthouse, whilst our kids (3 and 5) enjoyed climbing all the stairs and investigating the old rooms and checking out the view.Definately a worthwhile stop if you're ever in Kingston, SE.

Friendly staff and superb views of the town. The lighthouse has been in this location since 1976 and is completely self funded. Is going through some renovations to try and bring back to its former glory.Nicely preserved sleeping quarters.

This lighthouse is 142 years old and is so interesting inside. The volunteer guides are very passionate and explain the workings and history of this lighthouse relocated to land 38 years ago. The 124 winding steps is a fun way to get to the top. and subsequently take in the views. A National Trust property and worth a visit when passing through Kingston SE.

Such a wonderful experience. No part of the lighthouse is off limits. We took the full tour ( approx 1hr 15 mins). The guide, Frank, had lived in the area all his life - 80+ - and was an absolute mine of information about the lighthouse and area in general. If you manage to make it to the top, you're rewarded with a sticker saying you climbed the 124 steps of the lighthouse, although in fact there are 125 (someone miscounted when the stickers were printed!). Well worth the few dollars the National Trust charge for entry.

its one to tick off the list when visiting the area for a photo. The houses along the drive are stunning. It was a shame about the seaweed on the beach, but I believe this is being cleared up ready for the summer season.
