Great 360 degree panorama painting of Wilpena Pound. Good selection of prints, paintings available.A "must visit" when in Hawker.

We have spent 5 days in Hawker, making day trips into Wilpena Pound, numerous stops at lookouts & travelling many kilometres on off-road scenic drives. This has been a wonderful experience witnessing the Australian countryside & its animal & birdlife inhabitants. Then to visit the Panorama was the "icing on the cake".A 360 degrees mural of the Pound, over 3 metres in height & 30 odd metres in length is something not to miss. You view this masterpiece from a raised platform (about 10 to 12 steps) & the detail is just amazing.I went back a second time & we purchased two paintings from a very extensive & comprehensive range to take home for memories of a very gifted artist. There are also another two very large paintings depicting the Australian landscape in great detail. This visit was "breathtaking" to say the least.

The Wilpena Panorama was breathtaking with the incredible lifelike 360 degree panorama painted by a talented artist. The other parts of the exhibit were even more amazing and we still treasure the painting we bought there! 11 out of 10!!!

After successfully climbing St Marys Peak (14km round journey from Wilpena) we visited this fantastic Panorama. We were able to put everything in perspective as it is painted from the top of St Marys Peak. A very talented artist.

There are murals in a couple of rooms and the panorama of Wilpena Pound but I thought the price of $8 per person to see them a bit steep.

St Mary Peak is awesome. Adventures walk and beautiful view of Flinders Ranges. Love this place. Make sure to take plenty of water.

It is a well formed and well maintained path. It is worth the effort to see the amazing vista of the pound and the entrance to the pound. Don't forget to take enough water

To see the natural beauty at this time of the year, when there is still some greenery around and it is not too hot/cold, is fantastic. For anyone who likes the outback or just something unique, I would recommend a visit if you are coming to South Australia.

We loved the unusual landscapes and the facilities of Wilpena Pound Visitors Centre are fantastic.Hiking past Hills Homestead and climbing up to the lookouts was very enjoyable while the vistas from the lookouts were astounding.

The whole experience was a treat. An experience we are going to revisit, as so much too take in just once

An unexpected treat to see some great bush art in Hawker and the panorama built into the complex has a great canvas 360 view of the Pound (you stand on a platform in the middle of a circular building & they are also building larger one at the moment). Gives a real good taste of what you will see heading north

Great panorama depicting the colours of Wilpena Pound in a small town, Hawker,South Australia. It cost $8 for a walk through three rooms the largest was a beautiful mural. The shop has many prints of the Flinders Ranges area.

We didn't really know what to expect and were at a loose end the afternoon we arrived. The Panorama was nice, but to be honest we were a little bored with it. Nice that the guy has the space to exhibit such large work but for us it wasn't worth the entrance fee

We visited Hawker today particularly to see the Wilpena Panorama. We were not disappointed. The entrance fee of $8.00 was reasonable. The paintings were fantastic. The Artist, himself, was there and answered any questions for us... although he appeared to be a very quiet person...so to glean more information would have been advantageous. However, in saying that, I would thoroughly recommend visiting and seeing what could only be described as a masterpiece. When you left you really did feel as if you had been standing in the midst of the Flinders Ranges.

If, for some reason, you aren't going to be in the actual Flinders Ranges (or passing through Hawker) a stop at the Panorama is a must do. The sheer size of the artwork is incredible, and it's beautifully done. It's fun to compare the painting(s) to the real thing. I can really recommend the quandong chocolates sold in the gift shop, too!
