离市区可以说相当近。但却是绿树成荫,而且能感觉到有历史底蕴的公园。奥克兰博物馆也在里面。在公园随便坐坐或是走走,心情很愉悦。

We were treat to see skin of fire, took a picnic along and had an amazing evening. Nice to see families and people of all ages enjoying themselves too.

Headed off for a morning run/walk and what a place! Loads of people around, wonderful tracks and really lovely sights.

First of all . . .the trees! There is a really beautiful fig tree here that is totally worth the visit alone! This lovely, huge, spacious park has something to please everyone! There are so many different spaces to wander about. Different gardens, and green spaces so close to the CBD make it a place to be used and enjoyed as often as possible!

The domain is well kept with good footpaths. There are very limited public toilets that are hard to find in such a large park and signposting with regards to directions (how to get out and to which part of the city) is farily minimal. Its a shame that there are roads through the park as it makes it feel less like a green space. Still feels a million miles from the hustle and bustle of the city though.A nice place to sit and read a book under a shady tree. The museum sits on top of the domain and offers some sea views from this point.

Great expresso coffee - yummy large salad and hot plate of chips all for under $25 dollars - the birds can be annoying if your sitting outside

Great timing to have been here during Feb 2015 and experiencing the Lantern festival on the idyllic grounds of Auckland Domain. A short walk from Queen Street and the Metro and you are here, and the Contemporary Art Museum is nearby as well. Lanterns glowed following sunset at 8:20pm, a performance stage provided dance, music and a variety of entertainment. And of course a street dedicated to vendors and food stalls featuring Indian, Chinese, Thai, Malaysian and local cuisine. Found great bird whistles from a vendor there!

Auckland Domain would have to be one of the most beautiful city parks i have ever visited. Great old trees, duck ponds with plenty of wild ducks and geese wandering around. Don't drive your car to the museum walk through this beautiful park.

Wonderfull flower gardens, architecture and vast grassy spaces. Picnics and walks, sports and tourists. Great place to go for a day in the park.

This large park in the heart of Auckland boasts many interesting things to see and places to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather. We were there on a Sunday when there were lots of locals picnicing, playing soccer, etc. But, it did not feel crowded. And, it's free. Check out the botanical garden. Also, free.

While staying in the coolest hood- Parnell I was able to hike thru Auckland Domain. It a bit of nature in the middle of the city. Great exercise too since the terrain is varied.

This is worth a visit if you have the time. It is not a "must do" location, but we had the time and wanted the big space for a walk and leg-stretch. The botanic part is nice. It might not be Kew size, but it was worth a visit.

Crossed the Domain as part of the Auckland Coast to Coast Walk, what a find! Beautiful parkland with amazing tree lined walkways. The jewel though is the Winter Garden. A lovely Victorian set of buildings and some amazing, unusual plants.

This grand city park is a great place to just wander about, enjoying the gardens (Winter Garden is lovely!) and the games going on with locals. (Cricket in particular) The best of all there for us was the Auckland Museum which contains the very best Maori exhibits we found this trip, from a 100' Waka Canoe, to full scale Maori homes, all replete with exceptional carvings. The Haka show, put on by a Maori Troupe, is excellent and entertaining.

Auckland Domain is a local and national treasure. it provides a vibrant green heart to a great city. The ancient trees on the slopes are simply wonderful. Take careful where you park, don't bother with the pay parks as there are plenty of free spaces, unless you choose an event day or are simply unlucky. Views from the Domain are simply inspiring. The Winter Gardens can be nice, especially the fern areas, but the other garden areas pale in comparison with Hamilton Gardens, which are exceptional. The Domain provides a plethora of sports and recreational facilities for Aucklanders, which are well used. It is, of course, the site of the Auckland Museum on which I have commented elsewhere.
