This garden was wonderful - planted with family and friends in mind it's thoughful design made wandering a delight. Each section of the graden revealed itself to be beautiful and made sitting quietly an absolute pleasure. A must see for anyone who loves beauty and nature.....

This country garden is sensitively set within its stunning environment, including the adjacent 400 year old Puketarata Pa. It has wonderful views of Mount Taranaki and is a lovely spot for a picnic. Jen has skilfully blended native plants with exotic varieties. There are generous herbaceous plantings that provide colour and scent. A peaceful garden with many hidden plantings to discover. Another bonus is that Jennifer and Ken Horner are knowledgeable fabulous hosts! I highly recommend a visit to this garden, you won't be disappointed.

Just visited this lovely country garden during the garden fest. It is a sheltered site - tucked into the side of a hill with a great mix of exotics and native trees. There's lots flowering at the moment - Mi Amor and other rhodos were looking fabulous, irises too. A few surprises like the neat vege garden with box-hedged compartments, a great selection of fruit trees plus a corrugated iron dairy cow. A practical, well designed garden in a beautiful environment. Keep up the good work!

I visited this garden during the Taranaki Rhododendron festival. It is a real gardeners garden. The house sits harmoniously with the garden. It is very peaceful, packed tightly with lovely plants. Be sure to include this one if you are visiting gardens.

If you're near Hawera and like gardens then you must visit. Great views, a wonderful historic site and a fabulous garden complimented by a beautifully designed home. Superb!
