My brother and I, both in our 20s, traveled to Quebec in July 2014 and found this by chance on the Quebec City tourism website. Arbraska's actual site is only in French, so I did a bit of translation before deciding it was worth investigating and giving them a call to make a reservation. Groups go through the course every half hour, and we were lucky enough to be in our own group, with no one directly ahead or behind us. A very sweet girl gave us a safety demonstration in English and showed us how to use our harnesses and equipment. We were pleasantly surprised that we were then allowed to go through the course on our own. There were patrollers throughout the course in case you needed assistance, but we never did. The course is a series of activities, many high off the ground, including ropes, ladders, ziplines, and lots of other components. It took us about 2 hours total, and the optional "mega zipline" at the end was well worth it. This was our favorite part of our trip, and we wish we lived closer so we could go back! A great experience for the money, highly recommend.

We were here in 2011 when it was called Arbre en Arbre. We returned to find it pretty much the same as we had left it. The excellent staff gave us our initial instruction after ensuring our harnesses were properly attached. You are first required to navigate a close-to-the-ground test course to make sure you understand how everything works. Then you start on the first course, working your way through several color-coded courses in succession, which generally get a bit more difficult as you go. If at any point you decide you need to stop the course you can get down at any point where there are steps, but if you do so you must end the course and cannot continue to another section. There is a special section for younger children who can't manage the standard course.Safety is a high priority here, with ground patrol throughout the course. We saw the patrol rescue one boy who was unable to continue but was not near a ladder. The patrol guide whizzed through the course to reach him and then lowered him to the ground on one of her lines.Much of the course is 20-30 feet above ground level, with some parts reaching maybe 50-60 feet with a beautiful view of the lake from one tower. I have a bit of a fear of heights but doing this actually helped me deal with it. We are a family of four with two children 14 and 17 who did much better on the course than their parents. The course took us just under 3 hours, though that included a wait for the "rescue" mentioned above. They do not include gloves in the rental equipment but they offer gloves for sale at reasonable prices. Although I have done the course without gloves twice, I would recommend them as you do quite a bit of grabbing onto ropes and cables.
