It was awesome from the beginning to end. Harnessing the dogs, the ride itself, hot chocolate on the way, the picturesque forest. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Afterwards we got to see the puppies who were very sweet. Everyone at Expedition Wolf was friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to the Mont Tremblant area.

We booked this activity though the "Activity Center" @ Tremblant Resort. We were VERY happy with our experience. The owner clearly cares for the animals - they are cared for beyond their 11-year career & they have taken in quite a number of shelter/rescue dogs. The day was perfect, the participation in readying the dogs & sleds was a bit challenging but totally voluntary, and the ride through very well-groomed trails was very easy, even for an old guy such as myself. Hot cocoa during the ride, hot soup & snacks after, and a very reasonably-priced souvenir DVD with some nice portraits (of us & the dogs!) made the day unforgettable. The staff are very personable and extremely helpful. It was a GREAT time for this animal-lover.

By far the best day we had was Dog Sledding in the forest. This was with Expedition Wolf, booked via the Activity Centre, near the top of the Cabriolet (look for the snowmobile, sled and dune buggy outside and, sometimes, a man with a husky!) It was expensive, though included transport there and back, but is a MUST DO!A minibus collects you (our driver/guide throughout was Olivier, who was great) and it's about 30 mins to their site. After registration, you are taken across the road to the dog area, which is huge - with over 200 huskies! You then help to harness "your" huskies - 6 to each sled. One of you then lies in a sleeping bag while the other - after instruction - actually drives the sled, in a convoy. The route takes you through a beautiful forest and it was actually snowing when we went.About half-way, you stop at a log cabin for hot and cold drinks and biscuits - and you can swap roles if so inclined. (My wife the drove the 2nd half, which is a bit less arduous - with slightly fewer steep hills and turns.)(One does need a moderate degree of fitness as, on the uphill stretches, you have to stop driving and walk/run alongside the sled. And hard braking is sometimes needed on the downhill stretches, to avoid running into the dogs... But for us, as moderately fit 50-somethings, it was no problem at all.)The countryside is beautiful and, apart from the sled in front of you, you see nothing but trees and snow - amazing! ("Such fun!!" as Miranda would say...)On getting back to base, you help un-harness the dogs (who do not seem remotely tired - in fact want to go again!).Then - the best bit? - you visit the husky puppies (subject to season) - who are unbelievably cute and cuddly, though very large and heavy, even at 3 mths old! After tearing yourself away from the puppies - and the other 200+ huskies (of all types - some even crossed with wolves) - it's a short walk back to the main log building. There you will be offered hot and cold food (inc. soup) and drinks, which you can enjoy in front of a huge circular log fire, in the middle of the building.ALL the staff - including the larger-than-life owner (Mr Lambert) - are extremely friendly and care deeply about the welfare of their animals - many of whom are rescue dogs. You will then be given the chance to buy a CD of pictures of some of the dogs AND of YOU at the start of the "expedition", the sleds. It is 25CAD (with NO tax on top, unlike everywhere else in the resort...) and well worth it. (You can see your pics on a monitor, before deciding.)Then a short drive - again, through lovely countryside - back to Mont Tremblant village centre.DO THIS "EXPEDITION" - you will not regret it! (Apparently there are other, similar, trips - but this is said to be the best.)

We absolutely loved this experience. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, the dogs were clearly happy and well cared-for, and it was great fun helping harness the dogs and drive the sled. The route through the woods is very scenic. In addition to the actual dog sledding, there is plenty of time to pet the dogs and we even got to cuddle some puppies! The break in the middle of the sledding was great for warming up a bit, and they offer hot soup and coffee after you're done, which was a nice way to end the experience. I absolutely recommend them!

A must do experience if you are in the area. The staff are very friendly and professional. They always showed great care for all the dogs. Highly recommended.

Our dog sledding trip with Expedition Wolf was one of the highlights of our trip to Mont Tremblant! The guides are extremely friendly and warm and genuinely want their guests to have a great time. The dogs are extremely friendly to people and it is clear that they are very well cared for by the staff. They explain that they frequently take in rescue dogs to become part of their teams, and also have several 'retired' dogs that live in the main office, which shows their dedication to the dogs. The sled ride itself is very scenic and through a trail in the woods - like something right out of a book. I can't recommend this trip enough it is a such a unique experience!!!

We took the time to enjoy some dog sledding with Expedition Wolf and had an amazing time. The staff were wonderful, the dogs amazing and well cared for. It was a couple of hours of sheer FUN!! They include you in the harnessing of the dogs and let you drive the team if you are comfortable with that. The dogs are well-behaved and a joy to be around. I can't imagine that there is a better company to do this with.

We live in Montreal and recently had family staying from NZ. Dog sledding was on my brother's bucket list and Expedition Wolf met the challenge. The guides were incredibly helpful and friendly and we particularly appreciated how they included those of us who were there just as onlookers in the whole thing. They also had lots of interesting things to say about the dogs. The whole thing felt like a very unique experience and whilst it is expensive, I would say we all found it very worthwhile. Would highly recommend this outfit.

On a recent ski vacation to Mt. Tremblant we took a morning to go dog sledding with Expedition Wolf, and we are ecstatic that we did so! The excursion was booked through the Activity Center right in the Mt. Tremblant village and from start to finish it was a great experience! Expedition Wolf has over 250 dogs who are obviously loved and well cared for. They have taken in many local dogs that were abused, abandoned or whatever but most of their pack are husky's and they ALL love to RUN! One of the fascinating parts of the experience is that you actually help get the teams ready to go. The guides carefully select each dog and team them up and then hand them, on a leash, one by one to the participants who then lead the dogs to their respective sleds. Oh my gosh are these dogs strong! As one of the bigger men in our group (I'm 6'1" and about 200#) I was consistently handed the rear or "pulling" dogs and they about yanked me out of my boots! The dogs couldn't wait to get started and were all yelping, tugging and barking with excitement, thank goodness the sleds are chained to a fence post prior to launch! Then, with chains released and a simple "Hup!" we were off and running. The trail, which takes about an hour or so, meanders through a beautiful pine forest, up and down gentle hills and past ravines, streams and glades. It was an absolutely delightful experience and we thoroughly enjoyed the dogs, the scenery and overall experience! If you are in the area and want a once in a lifetime experience I couldn't recommend this any more highly. Mush!

I have come to Expedition Wolf a few times while on ski trips in Mont Tremblant. The experience is excellent. The dogs are all beautiful and you have the opportunity to harness them before the trip begins. The dogs are very excited to get on the trails and many of them are incredibly strong. The guides are very good as they will train you how to start, stop and turn and how to handle the 6 dogs that will be pulling your sled. The trails themselves are fairly easy to navigate but still offer some challenges on the hills and turns. During the trip they make a stop in a heated tent for some cookies and hot chocolate. When you return you get more interaction with the dogs as you take them back to their houses behind the main building. You have plenty of time to visit with them and pet and play with them. You can take as many pictures and videos as you want with them. Inside the main building you'll be given a chance to view the pictures that the guide has taken of your group. They sell them if you like how they came out. My package had 46 pictures plus 28 others of just the dogs for $25. If you are worried about the cold temperatures just bundle up. Each sled has one driver and one passenger. They offer blankets for the passenger that can further help keep you warm. The dogs love the cold as when we stop on the trail they will roll around in the snow. As they run they often take quick licks of the snow as they must be heated up even in the low temperatures. I would highly recommend this activity if you like dogs and like to try something new.

Initially we hesitated at the cost of this as a family trip while holidaying in the area. It was money very very well spent. We had a fantastic time from the moment we arrived - the staff were very welcoming and being given the chance to meet some of the huskies while we waited for other guests to arrive was a fantastic experience. The sight of so many dogs, clearly lovingly looked after, and their friendly reaction was a delight. Helping set up the sled by taking the dogs from their kennel to the sled, let alone the ride itself was an experience we would struggle to have elsewhere. Riding the sled (in couples) was fantastic fun and a surprisingly good workout going up hill! Our 2 11 year old boys were allowed their own sled (with a guide) while our daughter got to ride at the front as a passenger in her own sled. All in all a great morning out and money very well spent.

This place was amazing, from guides to every worker and their dogs. The owner was charming and you could tell she loves her animals. It was a truly remarkable experience for all of us. Would definitely recommend and go back in a heart beat!

My wife and I came here during our honeymoon to dog sled for the first time. I have to commend the individuals running Expedition Wolf because it was an amazing experience. They really immerse you into the lives of the dogs and how sledding keeps them active and happy. The staff have everyone participating help with taking the dogs out to the sleds. They tell you their name and let you take the dogs to their respective sleds. The experience is lots of fun and well run. They have a break in between sledding with hot cocoa so that you don't get too cold. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Expedition Wolf is awesome! This is a great hands on, rugged experience you have got to try. The guides were wonderful and the dogs are so fun and energetic. It's about 25 minutes away from Tremblant Village, but you are driven to the location in a school bus by one of the guides. Our guide, Olivier, was a sweetheart. Very knowledgeable about the Tremblant area and played awesome music, which made the ride go by fast. The guides are very comfortable with you being hands on with the dogs, both in preparing them for the ride and in leading them yourself out in the woods. You can request a guide to ride with you, but I would highly recommend leading the team of dogs on your own. It's such a rush and the dogs listen really well to the commands you give. I went with my boyfriend and we had an utter blast both driving and riding and seeing the different personalities of the dogs on our team along the way. You are also given a snack halfway on the trip and are provided lunch at the end of the activity, which is a plus! The staff take great care of these dogs, many of them rescue dogs, and make sure your experience is as best as it can possibly be. I would do this again in a heart beat!

A friend set up our sledding experience through the activities center at Mont Tremblant. I've been wanting to go dog sledding since I moved to Quebec, but was always a little wary of which company to choose. I can recommend Expedition Wolf with 100% confidence. Their dogs are obviously well cared for and happy. I was impressed with the attitude, knowledge and passion of all the guides, who were especially helpful with my friend's 4-year-old twins. Olivier is a gem. It is worth noting that this is a hands-on activity - you do "drive" the sled yourself so if that's not ok make sure you tell them when you book it. However don't be scared and just do it, you won't regret it! Also there is a 25 min. drive from Mont Tremblant to the site - from beginning to end it took a little over 4 hours. The cost is a great value when you consider the time and professionalism of this operation. Highly recommend. Thank you Expedition Wolf!
