Top of the island view. Enjoy the ride or hike to the top. Ride from the Saturna General Store or hike up from the park on the opposite side of the mountain.

This is definitely not a highway grade road, more a one lane dirt road that takes you from a turn-off of Harris Rd up along a winding logging-type road to the top of Mt. Warburton Pike. There are a couple of towers for various radio and television services, and an incredible view of Pender Island, Vancouver Island and beyond. It is really nice at any time of the year but absolutely stunning on a clear warm day in the summer.Feral goats can usually be seen down along the ridge and the eagles always seem to be visible somewhere amongst the tree tops or cruising high in the wind currents. What I find sometimes is the very noticeable and awesome quiet. Not a sound from anywhere and you really do feel as though you have the entire planet to yourself. Caution: Watch your footing in the dried summer grass, it can be very slippery when stepping off the trail. And watch your speed on the road, particularly on the return trip down, since there might be another visitor on the way up. The road is winding and not very wide.If you get all the way to Saturna, don't miss the trip to the top.

Reached by following Staples Rd, after turning right onto Harris Rd near recycling centre. The road is narrow and winding to the summit. Well worth the trip for the spectacular views over the islands. There are few better views to be found anywhere. A goat trail winds around the mountainside for those looking for a walk, worth doing but not a casual stroll. There are feral goats to be seen and the soaring eagles are beautiful to watch. A must see when visiting Saturna.

What a beautiful spot! You feel like you are on top of the world; you can see Vancouver Island, the Southern Gulf Islands and the San Juan Islands across the American border. The meandering trails along the mountainside where one part thrilling, one part daredevil. Gorgeous gnarled Garry oak trees and feral goats too! I even spotted a pure white one. Great spirit goat, anyone?
