Kayaking at Bennett Bay was my first and the most exhilarating experience with a water sport. At first I was quite terrified with the thought of being on those small kayaks and rowing all the way through that deep ocean all alone. But the detailed safety precautions and the welcoming and comforting nature of our instructors made this experience a cake walk. I was so thrilled that I didn't even realized when two hours passed and it was the end of our kayaking session. I thoroughly enjoyed the two hours and remember each and every moment vividly. Spotting the golden eyed eagle, velvety starfish and the playful seals added to the charm. It was overall a once in a lifetime experience!!!

The owner delivered a kayak to the launching point at Bennet Bay and provided a map and current times which were really helpful. He was efficient and businesslike but not super-friendly. He also tacked on a 3% credit-card payment fee without mentioning it so bring cash if you want to save on that. The kayaking in the area is quite good nice and you can swing past tons of seals and sea lion within an hour and then swing by Saturna for lunch. Great scenery and lots of resting sites nearby. The gear was all in good condition and the pricing is reasonable.

For our one-year anniversary, my husband and I planned a trip to Mayne Island. Our experience with Bennett Bay Kayaking was absolutely the highlight of our long weekend on the island. From the moment we arrived at their location on the beach, the entire experience was perfect. After explaining the safety stuff and some brief recommendations on the best path to take our paddleboards, we were on our way, stand up paddleboarding in one of the most beautiful bays I have ever seen. Following the excursion, I accidentally left my favourite sweater on the beach at their check-in area. Realizing this upon returning to my hotel, I called the company and they were good enough to drop it at the restaurant I was having dinner at that night, so that I could pick it up there. This is going way above and beyond what I ever expected, and it was so appreciated. If you visit Mayne Island, I would 100% recommend an excursion with Bennett Bay Kayaking! As an additional note, I really appreciated how promptly they returned my emails about making our reservation!

We rented a tandem kayak today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The bay is well protected and quite vast so you can paddle more than 3 kms before having to turn back. There were seals and bald eagles!! It is also very well organized. The equipment is great and the instructions also really good. I would recommend this experience for sure. Reservations are recommended in high season. $50 plus tax for a tandem kayak for two hours.

Rented a double kayak $50 for 2 hours and it was well worth. Fantastic friendly service; took the time to show us a map (which he left with us) of a tour he would recommend. Reminded us of security rules, gave is a refresher on what to do in case we would tip over (this said the water were very calm), provided us with a dry bag. Everything was simply perfect! Great way to spend a coupe hours on the water!! Totally recommend it!!
