Well maintained centre with very helpful staff. They even provide little snacks! In true small-town style, they do close for lunch from 12-1 so be aware of that.

Stop here. What a treasure! Driving into the town, you may think, what could be here but a knowledgable guide gave us some really interesting information and ideas about the area. First, stop and see the osprey nest! High up,overlooking the meeting of the two rivers (the Thompson and the Fraser) is an osprey nest with a baby. The mother and father take turns guarding the nest and flying out over the waters looking for food. It's a short walk to the bridge and it is amazing to look down on an osprey nest. Leaving town and driving further along this scenic road, there is the Alexandria Bridge Provincial Park, an historical bridge worth a short walk. And finally, stopping in the town of Boston Bar, to see the cute town, visit the park and have some lunch. This stop would be a worthwhile stop for all ages. There is also a small free Museum next to the visitor's centre!
