On a hot summer day, we were looking for a spot to stop for a picnic lunch. We were pulling our travel trailer on a road trip to Vancouver, so we didn't want to drive into Kamloops. Continuing on towards Merritt, we saw signs for LLJ Provincial Park, and decided to check it out. We were impressed by the beautiful lake, with a decent swimming area.It was nice to have some shade for our picnic lunch, and we will always keep this place in mind when looking for a place to stop near Kamloops.
