Visit the info centre building at the main gate, or you can stroll the trails through the 700 plus ac. very senic place with many birds and deer.....and even the odd free range cow, lol. You'll find many viewing platforms throughout the park that will allow you to get up above the ground for better views. relaxing and fresh all the time rain or shine.Enjoy your visit, and take lots of pictures.

A very nice walk, lots of beautiful birds and deer. I only briefly stopped into the education centre because I'd rather see the real thing!

The Delkatla Nature Sanctuary in Masset is located between the airport and downtown. Important for migratory birds the sanctuary has trails and many viewing towers around the perimeter allowing for great views of the Sanctuary. A dozen Sandhill Cranes were seen. Also warblers, eagles, geese and many others. There is a nature center on Trumpeter Drive open in the summer. Trails form a loop around the Sanctuary (6.5 km) and other trails branch off to the Masset Cemetary and the Beach.
