jewel lake provincial park

Went on daily drives from my motel in Grandforks, this was a stop just half hour away. Nice little park right on the lake and wonderful place to go for hike. It may feel like a drive as you exit the highway its a steep and curving road to get to the park but in reality its a short 7 miles/11 km, if you have a kayak or canoe be sure to bring it along and do a combo of hiking and paddling.

Took young daughters for afternoon at the lake while visiting Greenwood. The day use area is a nice little area with picnic tables. Kids were able to swim and use their sand toys. Was a relaxing place to spend an afternoon.
