Nice spot and great views. Enjoyed the shoreline. The trails were a bit confusing. Found a few trail maps, but none showed a spot "you are here". I always find this helpful. I think I would have explored a few more trails if I hadn't thought I may get lost or may repeat the same loops.

Best beach in the area for your family! This beach is never crowded, has free parking right at the beach and the few other families that are there will be incredibly nice. My kids love to swim on the side closest when you drive in as there is a great sand bar during low tide. We always make sure to also walk down the beach on the other to visit the Waterfall! It's a ways down and can't be reached during high tide, but its worth it! Look for sea-glass along the way! Bring a picnic and stay for the day!

I stopped here because I really needed a break from driving. It was a great little hiking spot with nice views from the coast. I enjoyed roaming the beach, although I didn't find any fossils. This may be because I parked at the picnic area, and not by the interpretive centre that would have told me what to look for. Of course, I found the centre after hiking the whole park. I also got lost a few times. This park is under construction, and I hope they plan to add more signage. Overall, a nice way to get my blood flowing on the long drive to Cape Breton.

September 24, 2006Great park to find fossils, amazing.Trails to beach are easy walking with beautiful ocean views and native plants such as high bush blueberries. Fossils are the big wow factor. Easy to find, once you know where to look, others on the beach all to happy to show us and plentiful.Native birds and a waterfall just added to the beauty of the place.A must see hidden treasure.Nancy

Très beau parc pour une courte randonnée pédestre. Après une courte randonnée dans la forêt, nous pouvons marcher la plage et regarder les rochers et même chercher des fossiles. Le parc n'est pas très fréquente et est tranquille. Un bon endroit pour un pique-nique.
