Being locals, my husband and I decided to take the half hour drive out to the brewery for beer tasting and supper. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. This brewery is by no means big, but we were able to try 5 different beers before we had supper so we knew what to order with our meal. It was nice and quaint and we had a great time. Just an FYI - it is in the middle of nowhere - it worth the drive.

I always try local beer when I am away from home. A recent training week had me in Renfrew and I was lucky to try two great beers at local pub called "whistling paddle" and "farmers daughter" both brewed at The Whitewater Brewing Co.I had an afternoon with no plans so I convinced a couple others who were training with me to go the the brewery.The crew at this "nano-micro" brewery (their words LOL) were all knowlegable; funny; outgoing and aimed to please.We got a tour of the facility, did beer tasting then spent the afternoon on their patio having a couple beer. They serve food there but we had just finished lunch so no one was hungery, but I do have to say the food sounded and looked very good.I admire the tenacity that this group have in order to start up and continue to grow such a great local (to Renfrew) brewery.
