I have been an Orillia Legion member for approximately seven years now. The Orillia branch is located right on the shores of Lake Couchiching, naxt to the Port of Orillia and the venue has a beautiful patio / smoking area for pleasant summer views (the Island Princess charter boat sits at anchor adjacent to the Legion). The beer is always well priced and cold, the two expansive snooker tables offer great entertainment at the cost keeping the lights on. Plenty of meeting rooms upstairs and off the bar offer patrons and members opportunities to meet friends, attend birthday or retirement parties / luncheons, play cards, etc. Lots of activities, meat throws, darts, bridge, steak dinners, dances, are on tap for those who enjoy meeting people and playing interactive games. The Orillia Legion, a great community centre that offers reasonably priced drinks and entertainment, right in the heart of Orillia.

Near Couchiching park & a quiet, relaxing place to stop for refreshments at great prices. The characters around there have a thousand stories to tell mostly interesting. There's a lounge with soft seating or regular chairs & tables in the main section. Darts, billiards & euchre are played regularly. There's a patio facing the lake.If their parking lot is full, there are several alternatives close by at no cost.

Although generally open to "members only" respectful visitors can be "signed in" to be treated to one of the best Military mini-museum displays in the country. In the Vimy Room there are over a dozen cabinets with one-of-a-kind artifacts well displayed - along with 5 cabinets of photos of soldiers all well-catalogued. A must-see for any appreciator of Canadian history whether academic or novice
