We only visited the outdoor village as the museum was off limits due to flooding. The admission fee was reduced (5 dollars for adults), but the visit was worth it as a means to understand about how the native people lived. Liked the long house. My daughter liked the corn grinding shack. Some of the exhibits are in need of some attention. In addition, the ground inside the village needs a bit of care: simple stuff like cutting away the weeds.

We arrived after hours and peeked through the traditional fencing. It's a beautiful, beautiful place on the traditional territory of the Ouendat. It's really too bad that the MASSIVE YMCA next door completely destroyed a grave site on this land... shame on the Midland Council for not strictly enforcing archaeological excavations prior to construction!

One of my many child hood memory stops when we are in the Midland area. Great museum. Tons of thins to look at and learn about. Nice gift shop and close to Little Lake! You can't go wrong!

A great museum and first nations experience but in dire need of a cash injection to improve the museum, literature and even the facilities. Couldl be so much better

We visited in September and were given a cheap printed guide sheet and the key to the outside display. Inside the art section was poorly lit and the artefacts section drab. The historical content is good. Outside is well laid out and informative but it looks neglected. It has some good stuff but needs a good Spring clean with modern presentation.

I found Huronia Village such an authentic experience to visit. Great for kids or anyone interested in how our Native First Nations lived in the early days with the first Europeans

Some very interesting aboriginal and other local artifacts objects and art. Not very well maintained, uncared for museum. Lights out on some displays, signage blocking a display or one upside down, dust on items,

Enjoyed a morning visiting this museum. We were only visiting Midland for 3 nights but would recommend a visit to this spot to discover some interesting history of the area. Staff were helpful & we thoughtit good value for money.

Neat way to learn the history of the area, and how the Native Americans used the land. Great display on ancient Native artifacts and info.

I think it's an awesome museum and I appreciate what it brings to our community. My child had a great time at the day camp this summer and we will be returning again this summer. The staff is incredible and fun.

A really good museum, well worth a trip. The outdoor Huron village recreation was excellent (although I wish they had plaques to tell you what you were seeing instead of a handout which was sometimes hard to figure out). The indoor museum had a wonderful exhibit of paintings plus a large and very fascinating collection of local historical artifacts. My husband enjoyed the shipping and military sections, while I was very taken with the household and clothing exhibits. Also a large collection of Huron/Ojibwa artifacts and information on the archeological history. Nice gift shop, too. Excellent place.
