If you are looking for a fun easy walk, with kids or just adults try this forest! The sculptures are amazing and the setting is just lovely.

Very neat to walk through the forest and find different sculptures throughout, submerged in nature. Great activity for the whole family.

This unique display of local and international sculptures and structures is definitely worth a look. It's free and a pretty easy one-half-to-one-hour walk through beautiful maple forest. The pieces vary from wood to stone to metal and plastic and combinations of them. There are 30 or more structures now and new ones appear once in awhile. There are usually pamphlets at the entry points that provide explanations of each piece and provide a walking map. There is plenty of parking at the adjacent School of Arts. For some of the pieces you have to walk right up to them and around them to find the hidden, intricate work - so don't just look at them from the trail. While you are walking the trails you are likely to encounter a wide variety of wildlife. And make sure you take the short spur down to the lookout overlooking the lake - there may be loons or mergansers there. The works of art all have a story behind them so for the art enthusiasts there can be a lot to learn and appreciate by investigating each piece.

The Haliburton Sculpture Forest is a great place to go for a walk on a beautiful day. Lots of interesting sculptures in a really nice setting, along side Head Lake. A must do at least once.

Enjoyed walking through the trees and finding such a variety of sculptures made with varied materials. Really interesting and unique. An enjoyable afternoon.

I toured the Haliburton Sculpture Forest with my husband and adult stepson on the weekend, and we really enjoyed it. The various sculptures appear, sometimes a bit hidden in the forest, as you walk along the trails. It is an attraction that will appeal to all ages, as the children can investigate each new exhibit. There are hills on this hike, so a certain level of mobility is necessary. The one thing we would have liked was to have had something in our hand as we walked the forest to give more information about the sculptures and artists, as there is nothing beside each sculpture indicating a title or artist.

While on a wedding visit to Haliburton, family members recommended a walk in the forest - with a twist! This experience was worth having; a gentle trail walk along which are interesting and varied works of sculpture art. One enters near Sir Sanford Fleming College and indeed several of the works are on the campus. There is a trail map and a brochure that guides one along. The only criticism is that it would have been very helpful had each art work been numbered to correspond to the map. We missed a few pieces since the trails wind in different directions and the brochure map was not that accurate in our opinion. A bonus if one visits the Sculpture Forest is a nearby Museum and the Reid House which are well worth visiting and touring. Easy to miss on a visit to this lovely Ontario town and making the effort to find these attractions will not disappoint!

a guided tour has given us an insight into the artists point of view when they created and donated their sculptures to the administrators of the Sculpture Forest. We thank the former dean of the college for opening our eyes and minds when guiding us through this amazing place.

Stopped by for a walk early in the morning, nice to see the sculptures in the forest. Very talent people!

Great combination of the forest in the picturesque Haliburton Highlands and interesting sculptures. The offerings are interspersed along the trail, which costs nothing but your good intention to be outside and appreciate the creative offerings of this artistic community. Near the lake, and the amenities of the village of Haliburton...there is also a new bandshell and Farmer's Market every Tuesday. Good to tie all in to one afternoon....

We enjoyed all the beautiful art installations! The trails are in great shape, hard pack and wide. We pushed a stroller through and had no problem (just a big hill). I highly recommend joining a guided walk through the trails which adds a whole other dimension to the stories behind each sculpture. I just wish the trail guide/brochure had some of this information as well.

This place is a "MUST" visit for anyone coming to Haliburton. A slow meandering trail along the sides of Head Lake through the trees on well maintained trails. Appreciate the many sculptures made of metals, stone, wood. that will have you stopping, discussing and certainly admiring as you enjoy the birds and small wildlife along the way. You will be educated by little postings at the base of several of the trees on their type and original origin that bring shade to you from the warm Haliburton sun. Pick up a pamphlet on the start of your journey that explains each sculpture and the artist that donated it. This place will have you returning time and time again!

We enjoyed this diversion to a forested trail with strange sculptures, at a great price (Free!). Campus with an art college, classes taking place as we wandered through. Invited to watch!
