Up since the replacement of a failed bridge in the same location almost a century ago, the old bridge in Caledonia is of similar design to others that span the same river in Waterloo County. This bridge is quite picturesque.

This has been the question for as long as I can remember. They already have a second bridge on the bypass, so it wouldn't be hard to divert traffic. This is a landmark that has seen its' day. Hopefully they can do something to preserve it.....

One of a kind bridge, spanning the Argyle river, is a short, and narrow bridge, impeding use by larger vehicles, but probably the reason that Hwy 6 had to be routed around the town of Caledonia, and bypass the commercial district there. Nice to view and remember, yes....but is it workable, today?
