both adults and kids will learn something, great pictures and artifacts. Great Lakes marine history is not taught as much as it maybe should be

It was too foggy, can’t even see next five yard. Got the ticket for cruise and hit towards Five Phantom National park. My full family was so excited to see the island. The deep and sparkling waters at the mouth of Georgian Bay are home to Fathom Five - Canada's first National Marine Conservation Area. The place are made of high rises alloy colored rock, simply called ‘Place of Wonder’. Time here stand still. Blue water tells you the destination – do not need to explain you are there yet or not. The park preserves a rich cultural legacy that includes 22 shipwrecks and several historic light stations. Fathom Five's freshwater ecosystem contains some of the most pristine waters of the Great Lakes. The rugged islands of the park are a reminder of the impressive lake bed topography found beneath the waves. Fathom Five contains Flowerpot Island which is a popular destination for the tourist. It has rough camping facilities, distinct trails, and its namesake flowerpots, outlying stacks of escarpment cliff that stand a short distance from the island, most with vegetation and trees still growing on them. The island is accessible by cruises and rigid inflatable boats from Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula. Cruses will takes you face to face meet with the cliff caves and all the natural wonder. Rates for the cruses and boat are different based on the ride. Tourist are drop off and pick up after certain time. Other cruses are just drive around the Island and take back to Tobermory. The Flowerpot Island has some great rules, tourist are not allowed to drop off any wastage, food, garbage, need to take back all the garbage's to the main land. 3 to 5 feet wooden stik are available at the deck to help to walk in the hilly road. Some special notes for the tourist plan to visit Bruce peninsula –Tobermory is a small city, make sure booked the hotel ahead of time to stay at night. There are some good restaurants and a grocery at the harbor. Do not for-gate to bring your camera. It’s four hours drives from Toronto to Tobermory by road. Roads are free and nice county sight road. Six hours from Detroit, Michigan and Buffalo, New york and Niagara falls, another great destination.

Visit the caves and Lighthouse! The island is stunning, the hike to the lighthouse is lovely. The large flower pots are out of this world. A nature beauty

Nothing like going on a nice sunny day boat cruise to see the wondrous beauty of Tobermory and the marine park. With the many islands and of course the glass bottom boat tours one will enjoy a full day on the water.

Clearest water ever! Beautiful islands and intriguing "Flower Pots" on the shore. All seen from glass bottom boat.

We called at the Visitor Centre on our way to catch the ferry. We arrived in the middle of a thunderstorm with torrential rain. We were pleased to get inside & forget the weather for a couple of hours. We watched a very informative film which explained the ecology etc of the area. We then wandered through the well planned displays. This is the best Centre of its kind we have visited & in spite of the weather was well supported. We congratulate all involved in this wonderful project. We were sorry the weather was not good enough & we would not have had time to explore the trails

This is the part of the National Park that you pay the extra for when you take the boat over to flower pot island. If you are going I would recommend it if you want to hike in to get to it. Very easy going....nothing strenuous.

Absolutely beautiful place. So much to learn about and see. We went on the Bruce anchor glass bottom boat & walked on flowerpot island. It was amazing!

We took a boat tour to see the shipwrecks and Flower Pot Island, in the Fathom Five National Marine Park. Our tour was 1.5 hours long, but it felt like 15 minutes. Next time, we will take a longer tour. What a spectacular part of Canada this is!

This review is for Flowerpot Island only....Our family spent about 3-4 hours exploring the island---man, i wish we had more time! Next time we'll catch an early ferry. Tho, a visit to Flowerpot Island is a bit pricey, when you factor in the boat tix and entrance to the national park, it's definitely worth it....We hiked the loop from the flower pots, to the cave, to the lighthouse, and back to the boat dock.... The day we went, it was cloudy, misty and mild, but no rain.... That was fine with us---whether it was a clear day, or the conditions we encountered (rain would have ruined it for us), the island is beautiful.... And the fog and crystal clear water made it feel like we were in Maine or Nova Scotia...or even Alaska for that matter....So, despite the weather, it was definitely worth visiting, and we would do it again!

We took Ag lass-bottom boat cruise to the Fathom Five National Mariner. We enjoyed seeing two ship wrecks, the greenery growing out the sides of rocks, a couple bald eagles and of course, the famous Flower Pot Island. We saw brave young children in the chilly water, hikers, photographers and sun bathers there. Our cruise captain said there are 6km of hiking trails on Flowerpot Island as well as six campsites. Worth a visit if you are a nature lover or into photography.

We travelled all the way from the UK, specifically to see the ship wrecks, beautiful marine scenery surrounding Tobermory and the Fathom Five area and it was worth every penny! we were not disappointed and it was one of the highlights of our 20 day trip around Canada and the US. The shipwrecks are amazing, flowerpot island is gorgeous and the whole area is just beautiful. Great diving, snorkelling, loads of boat trips - take a camera, the Fathom Five is the perfect location for photography. We loved it.

we took a glass bottom boat tour to explore fathom 5 NP. we passed over 2 shipwrecks, then we spent about 3 hours on flowerpot island. the shipwrecks were neat. one note- the glass bottom boats we were on (yellow boats) did not have glass bottom from front to back. arrive early and get in line to ensure you get a seat by the glass floor. also get the open boat, not the enclosed glass boat. the enclosed glass boat has no air movement and feels like a greenhouse. when we got to the island it really was quite beautiful, the water is so clear and inviting. though u had not planned on going in, the water looked so good that i took off my shoes and went wading. the flower pots are very cool, much like in New Brunswick at Hopewell rocks. the lighthouse was ok, the cave is ok, but the flowerpots, the coast around the flowerpots and the boat ride alone make this a cant miss 5 star destination.
