The bodega has two attractions. The bodega(restaurant, bar and tapas) and the vineyard. First the bodega. The place is very pretty and the location is fabulous. The restaurant is good and it offers fine food. The service is not organized and there is a lot of confusion regarding who order what. we notice at least 3 nearby tables plus ours were served the wrong order initially. Most of the service people were very nice and they were trying their best but still some people were complaining. They had live music which was very good. The vineyard: one word, disappointed. We have been to other vineyards both in the US and Europe and thou I did not expect something like those it really was way below them. The area was not well kept. A lot of high grass and poor explanation of the wine whole process. Although the guide new the history of the bodega and the basics of grape cultivation and wine process she could not answer some question.

Some friends and I went to Bodega Andrew Solé on 11/9/2014. At the Bodega's entrance we followed the tour guide in charge and a bus with some other tourists. We thought that transportation was provided to visit the farm, which never happened. At the vineyard, she explained the 3 types of grapes (Merlot, Cabernet and Tempranillo). I'm no professional of wines but know basics and what she said was really, REALLY wrong. "Grapes are not being picked now and when they're picked, they get mixed to make wine, disregarding the difference of Cabernet and Merlot, plus brandy was mixed along with the wines. People who know about grapes can see the difference in the leaves." Also, she wanted to stop the orientation because it was going to rain and she didn't want to get her hair wet. Unbelievable. Finally, a person asked to taste a grape (which many were on the floor getting eaten by animals) and she said she can't because they receive over 600-700 tourists by weekend and there weren't enough to give one for each of us who were there. Grapes that were getting rotten and not picked. My advice to Bodega Andrew Solé is to train their tour guides in the same tune and organize them better when providing orientation/information. My sister had an awesome time when she visited. Her tour guide gave grape samples and awesome information. I went with my friends and our tour guide was a disaster. We didn't finish the tour, and made one of our own enjoying the west by ourselves. There's always a plan B!!

Let me start by saying this place has a wonderful location and is all it's stated to be in other reviews.A word of warning though. We wanted an English tour and asked for one when we made a reservation a week before travelling to Puerto Rico. Well when we arrived after the drive from San Juan we were told that there wasn't an English tour (that day) and they didn't have our reservation on file because of this. Not my problem. Luckily they had room for us to park so we did stay a while. Not having a reservation meant we were on a table without a 'name plaque' and as such the servers forgot about us. We had to go in and order after sitting around for over 45 minutes with no attention (they did later apologize for this). Once the parking lot is full or they have all their reservations they do close the bamboo doors to the street so if you're coming on a spur of the moment idea, you could be disappointed. The food is OK and the wines sweet. This is all about location, location, location.

I'm from Puerto Rico and I have been at this wonderful place many times. Each times is memorable. Sometimes, I enjoy endless talks with friends, romantic nights with my boyfriend or just go alone to listen live music (most of times Puerto Rican music) . Could say that this place isn't about just wine, it's good food, peace and quality.
