Save your time and go to a calm beach if you are here in February. We were fortunate to be here for more than a month, so we checked out a lot of beaches.

This beach is incredible. As you walk up from the street to go in you really don't think that such beautiful beach will exist. I would have rated this beach as excellent because it's breathtaking and is now on my fop fave, but the only problem was the waves. Had it not been cause they are pretty high I would've gotten in the water. I mean, I did but I was only able to go in all the way by the shore. It's still very nice to chill and sit by the shore. The view is amazing.

This is a very nice beach my favorite to visit besides cerro gordo. During the summer months is the best to swim and relax on the beach. the winter months are really good as well but you really have to be careful of the tides and swells they can get rough. So over all my favorite summer spot to have a beach day. And yes it is true about keeping your vehicle safe try to keep it in view because the density of the trees and plants make it easy for someone to smash and grab unseen or at least check on it frequently just to be safe. Never having my vehicle robbed is do to me being aware at all times be safe and have a wonderful time at this beautiful beach

Loved the view of the coast as it curves out. Did not like the fact that there were stray dogs. The city of Manati needs to work with pet adoption agencies to find homes for these dogs or spay/neuter them.

One of the most pristine beaches in Puerto Rico. I would recommend to go in the summer months because in winter the swells get big and the ocean can get very rough it's a very good surf spot. In summer there is great snorkeling and crystal clear waters. I do advise to park where you can see your car especially if it's during the week. Like all area in Puerto Rico you can never leave your valuables visible lots of car theft. I have been living in PR for thirty years and have learned my lesson from surfing secluded Surf Spots always park where there is movement

We were staying in Vega Baja & a friend suggested that we take a short ride to los tubos and check it out. It was a bit hard to find as you have to park on the side of the road or in a break in the trees, dont drive down too far the sand will trap you in and a tow will be needed and dont park too far away. There were spots were there was so much glass that I almost turned back and car break ins are quite frequent in the area, so keep an eye on your belongings and vehicle. But when you step out on to the beach it is absolutely breathtaking. And mostly secluded, which I love. Just lounged on the beach for a while enjoying the beauty and sounds of the ocean. **Somethings going on that I cant add photos right now, just keeps kicking me when I go to add so photos to come later, promise**

The beach is absolutely beautiful! There are private little inlets that make it feel like you are the only one there. After we parked we noticed glass in the sand swept over to the side and just thought it was litter. We were the only ones there and probably only on the beach taking pictures and collecting shells for 15 minutes. About 10 minutes into our time on the beach two little old ladies drove up in a car along side the road (didn't park next to our car). They got out came down to the entrance to the beach and waved "Hi" to us, looked around and then left. The waves were crashing so hard against the rocks that we couldn't hear the glass break on the window of our car. We returned to our car to find glass everywhere inside and outside the car and my husbands backpack with lots of expensive photography equipment, his favorite watch I gave him and all of our trip info hotel, airline itinerary, rental car info..... They also grabbed my bag which had my prescription sunglasses, some snacks and my purse in it. It took us the rest of the day to wait for the police to show up and take the report, exchange the rental car for one without broken glass falling in, calling our bank, replacing my husbands reading glasses........ The police officer told my husband this happens at that beach location all the time and it would take 2 days for the police report to be ready. Two days later my husband was sent from one police station to another to get the report to no avail. They told him it would be 2 weeks for the report to be ready. We won't be there in 2 weeks to get a copy of the report for the rental car and for our insurance company and any identity theft issues we may have down the line. This all took a large chunk out of our vacation time and even after we were home we had to get all new bank accounts, IDs and we even replaced the locks on our doors to keyless locks. Bottom line is this is a beautiful beach but you need to have someone look out for your car while you are down there enjoying the view. I was so thankful that my husband is fluent in spanish and could communicate and understand the local police authorities.... I can't imagine the additional head ache we would have had if he couldn't communicate for us and understand directions and instructions...
