During our recent stopover in San Juan, my husband and I wanted to get out of the city and "see" Puerto Rico. We're beyond the zip lining/kayaking/horseback riding stage in our lives and had already wandered around Old San Juan. I found an ad in one of the local magazines for Puerto Rico Tours ("Let me show you MY Puerto Rico") and was so happy that they could accommodate us the next day for a six-seven hour tour of the island. We were picked up by one of the owners, Carlos Andino, a very personable, bright, polite and interesting young man who speaks wonderful English. We basically just drove along the northern coast to the western edge, had lunch at a great seafood restaurant on the beach (near Aguadilla...La Casada del Dorada or something like that), and made several stops along the spectacular northern coast for photos or to see interesting sites, such as caves, an old Spanish fort, etc. This was exactly what we were looking for and we were not disappointed. Along the way, Carlos brought us up to speed on Puerto Rico's history and answered all of our questions. This was a private tour, with just the two of us, Carlos and his driver. We couldn't have been more pleased of our day with Carlos and recommend Puerto Rico Tours wholeheartedly!
