Great place to listen to live music and drinks, we didn't eat there! Saw Bankie Banx and he was as great as his famous reputation! Definitely an Anguilla Experience not to miss!

Very laid back. We ate supper here and my shrimp kebab and my husband's snapper were wonderful. It was comfort food, like my husband grills at home in NC. Not fancy but delicious. We were the only diners at 7:30pm. So we got to know the sweet cook, Peaches, the lovely and nice bartender, Rose, and the funny, irreverent bouncer/helper, Crusher. Turns out Crusher had just worked a job near us asphalt ing the New Bern airport we fly from, and had visited our town of Morehead City and the aquarium and Seafood festival there. We had great conversations with them. Rose and Peaches even came to church this morning where my husband was the guest minister for the next 2 weeks. The other people started showing up after 9:30 for the concert at 9:45ish. Bankie seemed to be enjoying himself and I liked his music. We left at the break at 11:30, but I heard the next set went on until 1am. It was expensive, but for me, the experience, ambiance, food, and music combined was worth it.

Came here due to a recommendation by another tourist. DO NOT EAT HERE!! The food is not good, very expensive. They did not have a menu??? The waitress told us verbally what was available. So we did not see any prices before ordering. Took 45mins to get food. $30 for a very small shrimp skewer, ONLY 2 shrimp!! They add their own tip in at 15%, then asked for more. Drinks were expensive and watered down. Staff smoking pot, a monkey tied to a tree, WT? The beach is lovely, but this place is NOT!

Spent a night in Rendezvous Bay December 2014 with a group of friends. After having a nice expensive fish dinner at the Dune Preserve we were then asked to pay an additional 20 US each to listen to Bankie Banks play his music. The drink prices were the same as any resort hotel needless to say we only had one after the additional cover charge. Whilst listening to the music the bartender, staff and some visitors continued to openly smoke pot which was very disrespectful to other patrons in the sparse audience who were noticeably irritated. Nothing special about this place.

If it weren't for the chained up monkey outside we'd give it an a+. Great ambiance, cocktails and food. Plus we were lucky to have some nice live music. Perfect spot to spend an afternoon. Just wish they didn't have the monkey chained up outside for photos, sorry, but not something I can sweep under the rug!

Great Bar steps from the ocean. Feeling of an old beach shack. Staff very nice. Went to hear Bankie sing and it was great. Only reason didn't give 5 stars, is the price of dinner (ribs, chicken or crayfish with rice , salad) was very expensive. I had dinner at the beautiful high end Jacala and paid same price as Dune for same entree, (crayfish)! That was crazy. Dune should be bar food prices. Next time I will eat elsewhere and come for music later.

We made the day trip from St. Marteen to Anguilla and we literally spent the afternoon chilling with Bankie Banx, listening to music, chattin about anything that came to mind, and drinking his "secret" rum punch. The beach bar itself is awesome, simple yet effective. The beach has gorgeous white sand and offers great views of St Marteen. I would go back in a heartbeat and it really makes you appreciate the simple things in life.

We visited Dune preserve the morning of our departure. I really just wanted to see the place and did not expect that they would be open. As soon as we walked onto the property Bankie's kids came down to greet us and make us feel at home even though it was like 10AM. They gave us a tour of the Dune Preserve. They even showed us their pet monkey which was quite entertaining.

So I've never seen a concert at the dune preserve, but I did go to check the place out and have a drink. They have a pet monkey that likes to steal things out of your bag. He's very cute and very sneaky! The only bummer is that he's chained to a tree and you have to pay $5 to get a picture with him, not cool. The structure itself is what's amazing. It looks like a tree house that's never stopped growing over the years. While we were having a drink at the bar (a bit over priced) Bankie Banks was there hanging out. I'm sure concerts at the dune preserve are amazing.

The Dune Preserve puts the cool in coolest. Situated on Rendezvous Bay, one of Anguilla's best beaches, The Dune Preserve is presided over by Bankie Banks, reggae musician extraordinaire. The place is a funky mish-mash of styles and colors on several levels.I can't think of a better place to have a beer or a rum punch. And you can visit the pet monkey, too. It is great.

Stopped by for a rum punch and lunch. The rum punch was delicious, quite strong! The fish lunch was yummy, the chicken was overcooked and dry. Bankie was there and waited on us, charming man. Several of his friends dropped in to visit with him and smoke a little weed. Our bill for 3 punches, 2 waters, fish, and chicken was $80.00; that did not include a service charge. The conglomeration of areas is interesting, and the view of the water and St. Martin is lovely. Enjoy a rum punch and swim!

This was my first time on Anguilla. By far the best beach bar in the Caribbean.Bankie played for Lizzie's 50th Birthday After Party and it was thee best time!!! Epitome of the word "beach bar"! Good music and RUM....it gets no better 'mon!

We drove from our hotel but most customers walked up barefoot from the beach. It looks like a small hut from the beach but it is really BIG. Made from salvaged boat wrecks and other mismatched lumber. Pet monkey was one of the sweetest animals I've ever met.

We read the reviews prior to our visit and decided to eat elsewhere and just come for the entertainment. We went on a Wed evening and Bankie Banks was performing. The music combined with the beach breeze and interesting tree house atmosphere made this a really entertaining and enjoyable evening for our family of seven. I think Friday evening might have been a more lively night as he plays with his band. All considered, this is something I would recommend you experience during your stay in Anguilla. Don't expect anything fancy ... just sit back and take in the sounds of Anguilla and enjoy.

This place is really one of the coolest locations I've ever experienced. The structure is a bunch of boats and boat parts, guitars and guitar parts, driftwood, seashells, and random furniture all glued together by alcohol and held together by a Reggae Vibe. Bankie Banx, who is said to have pioneered reggae music in the Eastern Caribbean, has created quite a venue/bar/restaurant. We were lucky enough to see and hear Bankie perform a few songs for the lunch crowd.Go experience this slice of Reggae Heaven. Walk around and explore every corner on every level.
