This is located inside the Amber fort..the real highlight of the fort for me. It was built for the 2 main queens of the king. The room is lined with more than 2 million mirror piece imported from Belgium and then carved in India. Our guide demonstrated how it would have been in the olden days by asking me to point torch light from my mobile on to the mirrors, result was awesome! The whole roof was reflected as if millions of starts were shining outside. Don't forget to take a snap of you in the reflection of the mirror.

Was impressed by the artwork and workmanship of the site. Crowds can be intrusive in trying to photograph some of the more remarkable areas of the site.

Sheesh Mahal is part of the Amber Fort. You reach it quite unexpectedly, and then you go ooh and aah, when you realise that this is, literally, the high point of your visit. You need to catch your breath. It has over 2 million pieces of mirrors in it! Actually, it is just a place for erstwhile Rajputana queens to relax, but the sheer beauty of the architecture will sweep you off your feet. Do not miss the exquisite ceiling work. Also, the smaller mirrors with elegant borders and the square patches of stone sculpture are sure to entice you. One of the very few places I would give 5 stars to.

The hall is located inside the amber fort. The glass and mirrors used for the building of the hall came from Belgium. ( Val Saint Lambert ) Nice to see and to know.

This complex building carved full of mirrors is quite a sight in the amber palace, its made so the light of very few torches or lamps be able to light up the whole room with their light reflected in every single wall by thousands of tiny pieces of mirror that were imported in those ancient days from Murano in venice, italy... hence forth only the best for this palace!

Located within the Amber Fort, this hall is beautifully crafted (our guide told us over 2 million mirrors, easy to believe) with mirrors and stones. It is best to view this in the morning when the fort is quieter and the chances of getting that good picture are better.

Sheesh mahal is a part of amber fort and cant be missed. A small part of the fort inlayed with mirror work and semi precious stones. Really excellent work done by the artisans of those days. Dont forget to get your photo inside the mirror by someone there!

We were told by our guide that because the queen wanted to see the stars at night (and there was a prohibition on females being 'exposed' to the sky during that time period) that the area was built to reflect light to make it similar to the stars. Whether it's true or not, I sure am impressed by the architecture and design aspects of the walls. We'd like to use some of the motifs as inspiration for a kitchen backsplash or bathroom someday. Make sure you get someone to take a picture of you in the mirror!

The room is tiled with semiprecious stones and mirror keeping it bright with reflected sunlight by day and candlelight by night. Extraordinary craftsmanship

Sheesh Mahal is inside Amber Fort. Its very beautiful and one of the main attraction of this fort. Another attraction in Amber Fort is Ganesh Pol Gateway. Rest all are not mush to see and are spoiled. But overall Amber Fort is one of the beautiful fort to see.

Beautiful and very intricate glass work which leaves you spellbound. One of the highlights when you visit Amber Fort, make sure you donot miss out on it. Try projecting a light on the ceiling to see how it reflects of the various mirrors

So very beautiful and pretty. We were told that the song sequence "Pyar Kiya Tho Darna Kya" of the movie Moghul-e-Azam was shot here and we, at that time were so taken in by the spendour of this place. To see it physically was thrilling.
